    @duetoprivacy: Notifications seem to still be working (at least for me) but they won't redirect you to the comment itself (you get some type of "failure" message). Think of it as a special Halloween throwback to classic Jezebel! #technicaldifficulties

    Thunderstorms scare me- I always need to sleep in the lounge when they're happening, for some reason. The other morning, one started at 5.30am, and lasted until at least 7, interspersed with the HEAVIEST hailstorm. Lucky I'm already sleeping in the lounge!

    We had one blow through Virginia Beach at 4am this morning - my window was open, and it about blew out of the bed, it was so loud. My littlest dog, Skye, huddled against me hours!


    But we've had a whole week of them here, so I'm used to it.

    I grew up in Tampa, lightening capital of the US. When I was a teen, a big BALL of it ran right through our house and out the the front of the house , right past me ( the sliders were open ). I don't mind the thunder, but the lightening scares the crap out of me. Nice sunny day here in Beantown, be careful wherever you are.

    I'm in Maryland, land of the crazy, sudden thunderstorms. I recently had to miss my one Friday class because it sounded like the world was ending. My family knows too many people who have been struck by lightning (and died) or gotten struck down by falling trees due to the thunderstorm (and died). Thus, I do not venture outdoors.


    Before I moved to the US this year, I got caught in thunder-hail in Germany while walking my dog. YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN ME RUN THAT FAST.
