    Stanley Tucci's comment is so, so sad. I didn't know that, about his wife. It explains why he doesn't want to do any press for The Lovely Bones. And why he, as Peter Jackson said, wanted to look as remotely like himself as possible in that movie.

    Confused here. Is the revised marriage agreement with Tiger Woods for seven additional years or seven years total (meaning only 2 more years since they have been married for five)?

    It makes a big difference.

    @ytuhermanotambien: I'm with you. And who says that she's going to have sex with him in those 2 years? I'd take the $80 mill but I wouldn't let him get any of his "naughty bits" near mine. She's better off now knowing that she's in danger of sexual diseases than she was before.

    PS Does anyone else think that photos that illustrate Tiger Woods various stories seem to make him look darker than they used to? Or did Wanda Sykes alter my consciousness permanently?

    @Working-for-the-weekend: I am back to my 9th grade weight and I am still overweight. Just because it was awhile ago doesn't mean it is an unhealthy weight or that she is going to keep going down. Some people have the same height and frame as they did then.

    It's unfortunate that SJP says she has a "wonderful nanny," and not something like, "Matthew Broderick and the nanny both really help out a lot."

    I dunno what I'm trying to say, but it bugs me that she says it's the conflict of every working woman. Not man. This isn't really a criticism of Sarah Jessica Parker, more of society.

    @pantsless economist...access RESTORED: Agreed on this as a problem for society. In SJP's case, there have been reports that they have basically split and that she is living with the children in a separate apartment. If that's true, that would explain why she wouldn't rush to praise him even if he is a good father- he isn't fully in the picture.

    @HannahBethD: I feel like I'm the only one who loved that book (although, those around me who didn't like the book complained about the ending), so I'm very excited for the movie. Overall, the cast looks pretty good (except Mark Wahlberg... I still doubt his acting ability).

    @HannahBethD: I've seen the movie and... I'm not sure. I think it will be as controversial as the novel (ie two camps of people who love it and people who hate it).
    Susan is very, very funny in it, but somehow that feels like it's not suitable for this movie. Saoirse is great - she's like a mini Cate Blanchett, I think.
    Mark Wahlberg is not bringing it home.

    I wouldn't enter into a NEW marriage for money (a la the Tomcat allegations). But if I was already married to the guy, had kids and he cheated and then offered me $80 million to stay in it until his career was over in 7 years I can imiagine the kind of life and security that would buy for the future would be very tempting.

    @applejuice: If I didn't have kids, then yes I'd consider it. But if I did, I just couldn't because I think it sets a really unhealthy example of a relationship/marriage for the kids.

    There has been enough research done that having decent relationship models greatly increases the chances of those kids having successful future relationships themselves, that I think the money just wouldn't be worth it.

    And her family is quite well off, so no matter what happens with Tiger it's not like she'll be living paycheck to paycheck or wondering where her children's next meal will come from.
