    LOL @ being dressed by the Adam Lippes intern, Jenna. Since you explicitly did *not* linger on what exactly they put you in, we're officially dying to know now.

    Why is Tom Ford depressed? He got to design Roger Federer's wedding tuxedo. I think - even speaking as someone who's had experience with the clinical kind - that job would snap me out of the depression with the quickness.

    It is true that there was a lot of retouching going on before it could be done digitally. There's a great photo in a Hurrell book that shows what he did with Joan Crawford, who I never before realized had a ton of freckles. (Apparently it took six hours to de-freckle and de-wrinkle someone by hand).

    @Fatwetdog: That was fascinating. But her underlying bone structure wasn't changed. They made her skin glowy and her hair shiny, but they didn't change what her actual face looked like. I think there is a big difference. #heidiklum

    I so called it that Jon is trying to control Kate with all his grand dramatic gestures. Stealing money, closing the show down, even the interviews? It's all a way to say, you can't leave me, I'm going to bully you until you pay attention to me.

    I can't help wondering how much his religous background is playing into this attitude. I live in PA and my uncle is a preacher literally minutes from where Jon and Kate live. Some of those churches preach that the man is the head of the house and godlike ruler and the wife falls in line. It's always been covered up on the show, bt Jon and Kate are hella religious.

    You know, I used to really like Ewan McGregor, but recently I have noticed (several times) that he has done/said things that made me think he's got a huge ego, is arrogant and just kind of rude. (I think this first started when I watched those round the world and north to south motorbike trips with Charlie Boorman. I read the book too. I know a lot of people liked them but my overall feeling...hard to explain but it just left a bad taste in my mouth - something about his aloof "I'm something really special" manner. )

    This Polanski stuff is just the last straw for me. I was just kind of not bothered about him either way before, but now I count myself as a non-fan. #lindsaylohan

    @applejuice: Yeah, me too. So sad, I used to really like him. It seems many people still need to understand that what he did is inexcusable, and if they have a personal relationship with the guy and don't want to talk shit about him, that's fine, don't say anything and be done with it. Being an overall nice guy is not a defense for rape. #lindsaylohan

    It seems odd. He's been living in Switzerland for years and I've visited him there, so this is all very strange. = But I still think his arrest is wrong and I want you to know that without getting me in trouble.

    @Island of Misfit Toys: If you read the linked LAT Q&A in its entirety, you'll find that McEwan is in no way shirking from stating his unmitigated support and admiration for Polanski-the-director. In that light, I suppose I read his above-quoted comment as "This whole business of what Polanski-the-person did is giving me the creeps, and also saddening me because I admire him on a professional level and he welcomed me into his home. I have contradictory and confusing feelings about it all." And yes, THIS is prolly projecting in the opposite direction, I guess.. #lindsaylohan
