Pretty sure I saw him today; he was sitting down in an outside seating area thingy and I walked by, did a double take, turned around, walked by again, and his friend started laughing. Then he covered his face. So I walked away because I realized I look majorly creepy.
If it was any other celebrity other than Seth I'd probably be like "man, I am so tired of him." But because it's him I am happy. I adore his laugh. It's the best.
Seth, call me? We can like, eat Red Vines watch The Sandlot and make out. It'd be rad.
What I really appreciate about him and his partners in crime from "Apatown" is not only do them seem genuinely shocked by their continued fame, but they also appreciate where they came from. They work with each other and are quite familiar with their predecessors in funny, which is really a rare characteristic nowadays in Hollywood.
I mean Jason Segal loves the Muppets, this dude is into comics and feels bad about not eating lunch with his grandpa. These are the types of celebrities we need more of.
I don't care if eighty other people who are competing with me for the title of 'Seth Rogen's next girlfriend' have said this before, but that suit is divine and he is my faaaavorite!
Whew. Much more INTENSE on TV than in his movies. I can't believe he's only 26. I wonder if he'll ever lose the beard. He didn't have it in F&G, did he?
@Twerpsichore: No, but think about it - if he's 26 now, he would have been 16/17 at the time? Obviously some guys can muster facial hair at the age, but I feel like it's usually pretty patchy and in the form of a sad little moustache or goatee.
I'm in love with him. How did this happen? I watched Zack and Miri Make A Porno the other night (which is pretty terrible, btw )and I can't stop dreaming about him.
His laughter reminds me of Holly Madison's nervous tick throaty giggle on Dancing With the Stars last night. It's the boy version. Love him, the nervous chuckling not as much.
@annebreal: oh man, that laugh got old while watching the clip. it was a low bleating thing and i thought "nuh uh. you were great in 'monsters vs. aliens'. it ends there."
I'm annoyed by his omnipresence and the fact that I like my acting leads to be traditionally good looking (I'm shallow, but so as I'm paying, it's my right), but he was the best thing about Monsters vs. Aliens.
@Macloserboy: Let's get together and hate on Jonah Hill. Seth Rogen is like 1 million times better looking, even if I'll give you that he is not traditionally good looking. Hill makes me physically angry because a)he's overall not funny but most of his humor is of the mean sort and b) NO WAY would a woman of his size and unattractiveness ever grace any screen, regardless of how funny she was or was not.
@rocknrollunicorn: When he's the romantic lead opposite someone like Katherine Heigl or Elizabeth Banks and doing obnoxious interviews with Kevin Smith about how it's not borderline science fiction to pair him onscreen with them, then I'll hate on him. Until then he's just one of those guys who's going to die alone surrounded by porn.
@rocknrollunicorn: You know, I don't know how true that is. Of course there have been a plethora of unattractive-but-funny-dudes-with-hot-chicks and such but there has been the occasional unconventional female. Roseanne Barr, Rosie O'Donnell, and Whoopi Goldberg both used their comedic edge in Hollywood. No one would say they are traditionally good looking.
@Macloserboy: Unfortunately I think we might be seeing some male/female differences here. There are a lot of ladies on this thread -- and whom I know in real life -- who genuinely find this guy attractive. My sister is pretty hot for a real life chick, and she does.
I don't want to say that a woman who is heavier in the manner of Seth Rogen and a bit more... let's go with girl-next-door looking... wouldn't interest men in the same way. (Though I'll think it). But in all seriousness, I think we really need a good example to figure that out, and I can't come up with one.
@TechnicolorGirl: I don't want to get totally petty, but if I were bi, I would do all three of those ladies before I'd do Jonah Hill.
@odinsraven: Fair enough; I've heard from other sources that he's a genuine ass in real life. I'm obviously not going to assume either way but I think his characters tend to be borderline cruel in their humor. I'm thinking of Superbad and Knocked Up specifically. Possibly not his fault, though.
Minus the glasses and jew-fro, my boyfriend looks exactly like Seth Rogan. And my boyfriend was pissed when I said that. But I really meant it in a nice way...
I wish he didn't always have to play the awkward-loser-stoner.
