Only those in stable relationships or at least objective to their relationships seemed to like it. From my point of view at least.

A friend of mine got it when her loser boyfriend broke up with her. She thought it was funny and was happy that the relationship ended (she was just about to dump him but he jumped ship faster).

Another friend of mine (who NEEDED the advise) thought it was demeaning and anti-feminist. Her words, not mine. Like it was all her fault and not the boy's. Um, child, it was your fault for being batshit crazy and playing GAMES with them. They are lucky to get out alive.

Sorry, rant over.

That book made my senior year of college very difficult...

I got about four copies of that book when it came out (to which I was very offended). I swear, every girl that got a copy re-gifted that shit. There were probably only 100 copies sold and everyone passed those 100 copies around.

Srsly, everyone gets bent out of shape over every word out of Aniston's mouth. I do not get it, and it feels like girl on girl crime to me. She's not allowed to speak? Plus, she has a point.

Also, RIP Paris and Benji. I actually liked them together.

@dancerevolution: I think that's part of the problem - it points out the douchebags without alerting the woman to the fact that there actually have been guys into them.

That would be a nice book: "That guy over there, he's into you"

That would have been a more productive book.

Man, I'm glad I recovered from my childhood bouts of shoplifting better than Winona did. Because honestly, I too like pills. And as a teenager, I used to like to leave department stores with designer clothes I didn't pay for. But I'm doing okay. Maybe because I'm not fabulously wealthy? How does that make sense?
