@thesciencegirl: I have heard of macrophillia before and I think it has less to do with the actually size of the woman and more to do with the size of the woman in relation to her partner. The man wants to be dominated. If he is a 3 feet tallk than a 5 foot tall woman would fit the bill. I don't think it's specifically about weight.

This. This has caused me pain. I don't personally have this fetish, but somehow in my search for something else, a DAK (Double Above The Knee) amputation video (a guy who did it to himself) showed up in my youtube "Recommended". Now, I didn't know what DAK was at the time, so let me tell you, I got all the way to the BUCKETS OF DRY ICE before I realized what was happening.

That said, I have steadily and increasingly been amazed at the truth to: If it exsist, there is a fetish for it.

@queenieinmanhattan: It is getting increasing amounts of attention lately. Apparently some people who have it compare it to the feeling you're in the wrong body - not always necessarily sexualized. People will describe it as feeling that their right arm, for example, shouldn't be there, isn't part of their body, etc. It is extremely rare for a doctor to agree to a non-medical amputation (which this is generally classified as), so some people will go to extremes to force doctors to amputate - cut of circulation, severely burn themselves, try to crush bones, etc. to make amputation a requirement.

I've always wondered how people reconcile being the object of a fetish. Like, I know there are some great Asian writers who have talked about this. But if I were an amputee or a large woman, who knew that my partner was with me due to fetishizing me, I think I would have a problem with it.

On the other hand, I guess attraction basically is a form of fetishization. Since we are attracted to certain features, body types, etc.

@laureltreedaphne: See, for me it would depend. At least if someone fetishized you, you'd be sure that they were comfortable with that aspect of your body. Like, being morbidly obese or missing a limb can be considered pretty unattractive by the mainstream, so I can see how having a partner who is sexually aroused by that aspect of you might be comforting since you know that they're not with you in spite of your body.

@laureltreedaphne: I tend to think there's a seperation of sorts, that a partner can be attracted to you because of something (be it weight, lack of limbs, etc) in addition to many other qualities where a fetish, even within a relationship, focuses on a particular thing within that moment.
