Confession: I've bought a Miley-designed shirt from Wal-Mart. Which leads me to the bigger confession: I shop at Wal-Mart. Regularly. Whew, feels good to get that one out there. #mileycyrus
@Everything MidnightBikeRide does is a balloon.: When I went there the other night looking for left over Halloween candy some of her stuff was pretty cute. I think Wal-Mart is just trying to get on Target's game with their cheapie designer stuff.
That being said I went on Nov 1st at 7pm and the Halloween candy had ALREADY been replaced by X-mas candy. WTF.
If they want me to get so fat that I have to buy a new wardrobe they need to give me some discount candy.

@Lizard in the Wires now with even MORE metal in the face!: Target has been really disappointing in their celeb/designer lines lately. The McQueen one was lame and the Anna Sui was sooooo expensive. I still have some stuff from the Proenza Schouler and Behnaz Sarafpour collections (several years old now) that I wear all the time, but the newer stuff has been MAJOR LAMESAUCE. I'm holding out hope for the Rodarte line. #mileycyrus
@katie.scarlett.o'hara: I haven't liked much of their new stuff either. But I thought maybe it was meant to appeal to more of a high school fashionista crowd? That was the only thing I could come up with.
But Mizrahi always brings it (well, he generally brings it). #mileycyrus
@Lizard in the Wires now with even MORE metal in the face!: Yeah, definitely. That whole Gossip Girl thing was so stupid. There was maybe one dress I liked, but the rest just looked too trendy, and it was all like $50-60! Way too much for Target.
Mizrahi is totally gone! I think his last collection was earlier this year? I really miss his stuff. Target is usually crap when it comes to shoes, but his were actually great.
I think Mossimo or whatever the Target brand is has been stepping it up lately, so we have one small thing to be thankful for, lol. #mileycyrus
The Lady Gaga clothing line will debut with the "Poker Face," an ingenious face-defense sheath made of lace available in avant-red, paparazzi-purple, and disco-stick-dandelion. Crown sold separately. #mileycyrus
@suck_it_monkeys: SO much word. And all my other brand name clothes, even mall store brand names like Express. I even once got a Badgley Mischka dress at TJM. LOVE. #ragtrade
@girlscoutcookie is back from hiatus: I hold an annual celebration on the date I found a purple silk Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti dress at Filene's for $112. I get the dress out, twirl it around in front of my mirror, sing it Happy Birthday, and then we have cake.
So far I've worn it outside the house, um, once. #mileycyrus
" />That KOL line is pretty standard fashion for most rock boys already. I'm pretty sure the BF already has a flannel shirt and some cowboy style shirts. On the other hand, Caleb Followill is hot.
@Master.And.Everyone: I know that he's a fashion designer (and a braggart, apparently), but I have no idea what he looks like. I'm pretty sure that Karl Lagerfeld is the only designer I'd recognize on the street, and that's only because of Jezebel. :) #ragtrade
@Kivrin: Who could miss the fabulosity of Karl Lagerfeld? To quote Margaret Cho, he fans the flames of his faggotry "like he's some kind of Spanish Lady or something." #mileycyrus
OMG I remember Bata shoes. I wore them in primary school. I went to a catholic school where the uniform was bottle green dress with 2 brown stripes and we had to wear brown socks with plain brown leather lace-ups. Fashionable, it was not. #mileycyrus
@cuteasabutton: My religious single-sex high school education has limited, even to this day, my ability to wear brown leather shoes. I sympathise. #mileycyrus
@cassah: Not all of them do. Both the tights and the underwear I have don't have the crotch gaps...because I can't handle that shit. I'm not peeing through a hole. Even dudes don't use the hole in their underwear... #trends
I can't decide if this trend is convenient, in that it does the body-shaping work for me, or if this means it's finally the season where I have to get serious about fitting in clothes again. If it's the latter, I HATE YOU STUPID NEW TRENDS!
I was totally fine with blousey tops and empire-waist dresses, which camouflage all manner of "sins" (by which I mean "my body"), but now you're trying to tell me that fitted clothes--fitted to the point of being constricting--are the next big thing??
I wish fashion would get off my Goddamn lawn. #trends
OK, the "more about trends" box to the right of the post inadvertently has two posts that make it so the Family Guy is wearing womans jeans, and I find it really funny. #trends
