This movie definitely has the creepy, smudged-camera lens look that hindered many 80's movies. #sososcary

YES! Hortense, thank you. This movie scarred my childhood. For years my siblings and I forgot the name of it, and when we tried to describe it to our friends, nobody believed it was a real film. But it is real. And effed up beyond belief. #sososcary

@Easybreezy: This is exactly what happened to me! I watched it a couple years ago and of course, it was not at all how I remembered, but it was still just as creepy. #sososcary

@Easybreezy: YES! I have been telling people about this movie for years, but no one believed me that it was real. At last, they shall get their comeuppance! #sososcary

@Nefret: Isn't there a scene where a French girl freaks the hell out and begs Charlie to get out of her house before a villian shows up? #sososcary

The "Peanut Butter" movie doesn't hold a candle to this scene from this 1980s kids movie about Twain's stories. The Disney Channel actually deleted this scene since it was too scary for kids. #sososcary

@Cam/ron: I started reading that story in elementary school. I had to stop reading it because it upset me so much. I think it was the only thing I started reading at that age that I didn't finish, I used to want to read everything. #sososcary

I just read the plot: how did anyone think this was appropriate for children?! Disturbing and scary. #sososcary

This movie scared the living shit out of me as a child. And yet I watched it a lot. Who knows why, I guess I liked being scared. But yes that scene in the factory? Nightmares for years.

No wonder most of the actors never went on to anything else. People couldn't even look at them for fear of remembering that film.

Anyone else really wonder what was in that house that was so frightening? It always pissed me off that they never told anyone. #sososcary

Yes! Yes! A thousand times yes! This movie scared the poop out of me. And for the longest time, no one would believe me when I said it was a real movie. Wikipedia is a wonderful thing. #sososcary

I never understood the hostility that Mainers have for French-Canadians...until now. This is the reason. This is what Quebec hath wrought. #sososcary

Oh. My. God. This movie was TERRIFYING. This and the Neverending Story are my "never-again-they-gave-me-nightmares" movies.

Although, I suppose it was slightly amusing when that kid put the solution down there and grew super long pubes.

    Also: Colonel Tigh!
