    @allyzay: While I appreciate your compassion for LeBron, I have to disagree. He is paid an obscene amount of money. Part of his job is to speak to the media--even after a devastating loss. If you can't do the job, then you shouldn't have applied--that's my take on it. You would never see Tim Duncan do this. Or Kobe Bryant for that matter. And Kobe's not known for his sportsmanship. It's plain old unprofessional.

    @BlackFrancine: So now he's not doing his job because ONE TIME he decided he couldn't speak to the press because the emotion was too much for him, even though he basically carried the team the entire season and through all of the quarter- and semi-finals games? Yeah, no. That's bullshit. Dude is not perfect.


    And Kobe is a horrible example in this case. He might be totally willing to speak to the press any time, but he's done a hell of a lot of selfish and unsportsmanlike things in his career.

    @sweaterqueen resents the implication: WORD! I'd also like to add, that making obscene amounts of money shouldn't preclude anyone from being human. What only people on low or average salaries are allowed to act out of pain, loss, disappointment while at work?

    People need to give it a rest. This was their best season and still all of his efforts resulted in a heartbreaking outcome. He does not owe anyone a comment or a handshake even. LeBron decided that since he didn't have anything nice to say, he wouldn't say anything at all.

    A) The Mighty Ducks series is a fantastic trilogy (even though the first is the best). I'm Netflixing them as I type.

    I vaguely remember hearing about that movie in childhood, but didn't know there was anything about Iceland in it. I'm mildly obsessed with that country (I might go again this summer!).


    No one likes a poor sport. My high school's basketball team no longer plays one other high school because a few years ago their players refused to shake our black players' hands.


    My brother also used to be a terrible sport. I could never finish a game with him because he'd "accidentally" scatter all the game pieces around every time he knew he would lose.

    @Kate2.18: When i was on the High School Tennis team we had another school we played that beat pretty much everybody they ever played, their parent support group would always bring a big dinner for them if they won. Well my senior year they got a new coach who by the time we were their third or forth match of year was so upset by their poor sportsmanship that she wouldn't let them have their dinner and gave it to us instead.
