    I hate that people abandon their animals, but I wouldn't have my little love who is a Chihuahua mix if someone hadn't be callous and irresponsible, so it's a ying-yang.

    This trend is shockingly noticeable if you go to any shelter anytime in Orange County. The dogs that aren't Chihuahuas are often at least half Chihuahua mixes from stray dogs breeding with each other. That, and a couple of dogs obviously bred for fighting like bulldog-mastiff mixes and a few greyhounds. All of them are somehow a tool or accessory someone got tired of.

    I'm sure a large portion of them were probably at one time owned by Paris Hilton.

    In all seriousness, this pisses me of that people get pets on impulse and use them as an accessory...at least until they're sick of them and decide to toss them by the wayside.

    The majority of breeders and puppy mills in this country need to be put out of business, asap!

    @Questioning Everything: Why don't we start a campaign to urge Paris Hilton to set up a refuge for abandoned Chihuahuas? She would just have to show up at one more club a year to pay for it.
