@andromache: A vegan friend tried to do that to me to get me to stop eating meat. That same day I went out and a got a hamburger with chicken strips. Nothing pisses me off more then scare/shock tactics.
@AfroJezeBella: Same. Also, I think the people who throw red paint on fur really support the industry. If I was wearing fur, and someone fucked it up, do they really think I'd go "oh well"? No. I'd buy a NEW thing. And probably more new stuff while I'm at it.
@femme-bot: THE IRONY is disgustingly true. Why not? I mean after the person so-called voicing their distaste for the fur then initiates more purchases of the fur they hate.
@andromache: Yeah, I love it when instead of trying to appeal to me as a rational, considerate adult who doesn't like to make poor choices with her money, activists instead treat me like a child, to be scared into submission. That never backfires and makes people want to go eat so called "hate burgers" or buy fur even more.
@5ft of fury: in real life, I would never do something like throwing red paint on a fur coat. but it's nice to fantasize about it. I'm not stupid; I am fully aware that the best way to inform people about where their clothing and food comes from is to do it politely. but I am certainly allowed to WANT to do something as a gut instinct.
@andromache: Well yeah, we're allowed to want to do whatever the hell we feel like. But some people actually do whatever the hell they feel like, to the detriment of their causes. I mean, I'm allowed to want to punch people in the face but I don't. Not unless someone is assaulting me, say, by throwing shit at me.
My friend went to this show: she said it was freezing, Riri was a horrible performer and couldn't be bothered to interact with the audience who'd been waiting for 4 hours, they played each song twice because it was being taped, and then Jay-Z showed up and was awesome. But my friend did not say anything about the horrific coat.
@lafleur: I've seen Rihanna live and she was terrible. She would turn her head away from the mic evvvvery time she had to hold a note, so that it wouldn't be so obvious (?) that she couldn't sing. It was pretty sad.
He's adorable, I hope he enjoys (enjoyed?0 himself, but I pity the person who had to clean up (and clean up after) the dog with that thick, dense coat after it spent the evening rolling around in the snow.
@femme-bot: It makes me happy to think that he probably helps the girls with their homework every night. (...with his curly, fluffy, snuggable moral support.) Even Michelle does puppeh!talk around him, which is a good sign that he lives a very good, healthy doggylife.
Now I'm going downstairs to discuss matters of state with Mah Puppeh in Residence. He's presenting a case in favor of increased belly-rubbing time... he's very hard to argue with. Wish me luck.

She even dips her nose in the snow and throws the white stuff over her back. It's adorable. And she will not come in. NO WAY.
