Puppies! A woman I work with just brought in her Chihuahua mix puppies so we were all snuggling with them. I decided we should have puppy-time every day.

As excited as I am to have puppies to watch, I am saddened that there is all ready another litter of puppies.

It just seems like a factory in that sense .... just keep breeding and pumping out those purebred puppies.

Fun Fact of the Day: Do you know who is widely credited with popularizing the Shiba Inu in the United States? Helen Keller!

She was given a companion dog when in Japan and fell utterly in love. For the rest of her life she had Shiba Inus.

@Atsumi: Basset hound puppies are adorable. As are yorkshire terrier puppies (when I got my puppy he weighed 2 pounds and he was three months old! Imagine what he weighed AS a puppy.)

I loved the original and will happily watch the sequel. YAY PUPPY CAM!

My cats love it too. It is so funny. Paddington hops up on my lap whenever he sees me on the laptop and won't settle until Puppy Cam is put on and the he just sits on me for ages. I am worried we are rotting his brain, but hell, he's a cat! The other two like it, but not as much.

Can I talk freely about my NEW PUPPY in this thread with no guilt? Because I got a NEW PUPPY! Did everyone hear about my NEW PUPPY? If you want to see a picture of my NEW PUPPY, it's supposed to appear as my avatar but isn't working, but if you click on through to my profile and click to see the enlarged image, you will see my NEW PUPPY.

@lizzzz adopted a rescued puppy nom nom nom: HA. That is one of the things I heard about Boston Terriers, they can frequently clear a room! Also, apparently Rose McGowan is a Boston Terrier rescuer.

@lizzzz adopted a rescued puppy nom nom nom: very happy to hear you resuced a puppy! though this video is adorable, i cant help but feel sad for all the dogs in kennels that dont get tv time that need loving homes.

designer dogs are lovely - you can find them in shelters for $200 - i got my jack russel at the MSPCA because when the breeder found out she was deaf, she was going to kill her (no joke. said she didnt have inherant value as a deaf dog), until a neighbor told her to give her to the kennel.

i wish people would stop supporting breeding when millions of animals are just as cute and in desperate need of our help.

@junkyardarts: I said this on another thread but it is worth repeating. My little guy was scheduled for execution because his eyes are a little weird and no one wanted him, so the puppy mill [shudder] where he was bred was going to kill him. They had a stroke of goodwill, though, and offered him and his sister to a rescue, where I got him. Puppy mills are a very scary thing indeed.
