This is putting into perspective the time I was embarrassed by my mother, because she drove me to school in her bathrobe when I missed the bus. I guess it wasn't that bad after all.
They must not have had McGruff or D.A.R.E. in Alaska. We had those two things at my school and as a result, no one ever did any sort of drugs at all. Especially not me.
So they really are just like the people in Real America (or at least the Real small town I'm from, where getting knocked up by your teenage boyfriend and/or busted on Oxy is par for the course).
@Flackette Goes Retro: Here in Lower Crapovia that would read "getting knocked up by your tenage boyfriend and/or busted for meth".
Ah, home sweet home where dental care is considered "prissy" and you're the envy of the neighborhood when you put an inflatable pool behind your double-wide.
A lot of people get prescriptions for pain killers and sell them, and a lot of people are addicted it is a very serious problem. If you had a bottle of ninety oxycontins and sold them for five dollars apiece, thats a pretty penny.
@sailorsong: A kid who just graduated from the inpatient program my husband works for just OD'd on Oxycontin. That's some scary shit.
And yes, you usually get between $40-$80 a piece for them. At least, that's what I used to pay for them back in my stupid-ass-dumb-fuck days. (Thank god I don't touch the stuff now.)
Mom Sherry's speech pattern is very similar to Paula Abdul's - halting, pinched at the ends. Maybe that's why she can't go into the drug bust thing - she's in business with La Abdul.
I really do not like Tyra's interview techniques. They always seem to be coming from a place of, "Let's make you feel BAD about yourself because I am the Goddess Tyra Banks, a Top Supermodel and All-Around Perfect Person."
@vanka-vstanka: I love how she talks down to him. Obviously he was avoiding her question and was uncomfortable in answering it. "So there are two boxes, and one says Sarah Palin and the other says Barack Obama. Which one are you checking?"
@Mafalda para Presidente: They may not be smart like you, but why can't they name there kids whatever they want? He is young and dumb but he seems like a good person. Why do you sound angry at him? What did he do to you.
@momentsofabsurdity: How is it mean? When did I sound angry at him? I didn't even mention his name or even reference him in any way. You're taking a comment and stretching it to mean whatever you want it to mean. By the way, I also kick puppies and hate rainbows.
@Mafalda para Presidente: Oops, sorry, that reply was not for you. I was agreeing with you in the beginning of it, though...as in...yes, exactly how is that mean? The rest of it was for sallybrownies.
@Mafalda para Presidente: Don't you be like that. You know what I mean. The way you say real Americans, like they are a big joke and aren't people. If it's true that you are fat, and I call you fat, that is mean. Just because it is true, I don't get to say it and say I'm not mean!
@sallybrownies: Uh, honey, the Team Sarah PAC website needs some copy editing. Maybe you can help. Start with demonstrating the difference between there and their, and move on to punctuation.
/Now that is mean.
Which I did to prove my point.
Which is pointing out to you that Malfada's observation that the Johnston family was unable to properly use the singular form of a Spanish word is not mean. If you think that's mean, you need to grow thicker skin.
@sallybrownies: Did you miss all of the campaign nonsense Palin spouted about what "real Americans" do? If you have a problem with the phrase, I suggest you take it up with the source.
is it wrong how hot i find levi, factoring in a 12 year age gap, different political ideologies, and just common sense in general? Where's clive owen when you need him?
I wish this would go away so that baby could grow up in peace.
also I must share my excitement: I'm going to see Britney tonight!! I've packed cheetos and red bull in an attempt to lure her off stage, anything else you can suggest?
Bull shit. If he wanted his baby as much as he's claiming to he could easily get a mediator in there to negotiate visitation. If not, he could sue for joint custody. Or maybe he's not being allowed to see his baby because he pays no child support. The time he spent interviewing with Tyra could have been spent looking for a job to support the child he made.
my novice experience in watching this stuff unfold tells me that not getting paid for tyra is a means to an end. you better believe they will get paid in the future, and they are banking on it because they have to.
