@Tchotchke: It totally is. I love Ace of Cakes and I'm not ashamed to say it. If I had any artistic talent at all, that's where I'd want to work. #michaellohan
@Tchotchke: Ace of Cakes is great, but I LOVE Cake Boss too! Didn't you see the one where they made a zillion cannolis and stuffed them inside one GIANT cannoli and sold them for 25 cents each? AWESOME! I want to go to there! I might just like shows about cake. Plus, anything's better than J + K. Especially cake.

@JessIsElf-ity: @mizz2bee: I know! I would love to work there, even if I was just cleaning the bakery or answering phones. It seems like so much fun.
@girlscoutcookie is back from hiatus: I actually haven't seen that episode! I guess it's just so heavily-scripted, so that kind of throws me a bit. My mom loves that show, however. I love Ace of Cakes because the banter between the people in the bakery is hysterical and clearly, it's just how they are. But you're right; anything is better than Jon and Kate. ANYTHING. #michaellohan
If DirtBag After Dark contains info about a documentary called "The Magic of Cheese Fries," it will officially be the best gossip day ever. #michaellohan
@Tchotchke: I love "Ace of Cakes" too! What I don't understand though, is are the cakes actually any good to EAT?! It always seems like they are working on a cake for days, and this is after the actual cake part is baked....how can the cake test fresh?? I'm on team pie (yay!), but I still enjoy on occasion a moist, yummy piece of cake. Is it possible for a cake to be moist and yummy after sitting out for that many days and with that many layers of fondant on it though?? Curious.... #michaellohan
@Monkey1979: My guess is that they are probably only working on the cake for a day or two. They probably make all the other structures out of fondant ahead of time, and then assemble the cake a day or two before. Because, you'll notice that if they are making a replica of the Taj Mahal, for example, they will construct most of the building in pieces first and then assemble it on the cake. That's my guess at least. #michaellohan
@Tchotchke: I have to agree. Ace of Cakes is one of my most favorite shows on tv. I just want to go there and hang out with all of them and bask if the glow of their absolute coolness. And beg Mary Alice to be my best friend and we could go to roller derby matches together ...
Of course, my absolute crush on Elena would probably only get worse. #michaellohan
@tstreur: I think the reason I like the show so much is that the people seem likeable, funny and genuinely interesting. The employees clearly love their jobs and Duff has obviously made sure that he created a great work environment for them. Their cakes are beautiful and the show isn't trashy. It's nice to watch a show where at the end of each episode they talk about how amazing their coworkers' cakes were, as opposed to backstabbing one another. It's really unusual to see that on tv today. I know I sound like I'm going on and on, but I just always feel happy after watching that show. #michaellohan
@Tchotchke: That makes sense. Thanks! Having never eaten a cake with all of that fondant on it though, I wonder how it tastes...I mean, do you EAT that fondant?? I just can't imagine it tastes very good...just pure hardened sugar. At least if what you guess is true, the cake part is good! #michaellohan
@Tchotchke: Exactly! They all seem so freakin happy, and like they all really and truely like each other and enjoy working there ... I need to find a job like that ... #michaellohan
please god dont let the edward+bella thing be true. id ont think i can handle the media frenzy that will ensue from it. i hope the author lady is just talking smack to bring more attention for the movie. #michaellohan
@rd2uk: That's actually the director of the first film who really wouldn't benefit much from the publicity of the next films of which she is not a part. (Unless we think about a boost to DVD sales of the first movie.) The thing is, we all assumed they weren't actually dating but all of Kristen's quotes as of late seem to indicate that they are. And it just kinda makes sense that when you're working around someone for 12 and 24 hours every day for years (ok, not always long days and obviously not every day) something might happen romantically.
(Sorry for the long reply to such an innocuous comment.) #michaellohan
@ExtensionOfBob: you're probably right. honestly, if theyre dating, good for them, i just cower with fear of the media storm that is about to him, if they are. yknow? #michaellohan
@rd2uk: Yeah, I hear you. But I still prefer media frenzies over facts to media frenzies over speculation. Also, sucks to be them. Sucks to be us having to constantly see pictures of their lives. Oy. #michaellohan
"There's somethin' I want to get off my chest. It's about that summer, when you went away to community college. I got an offer to do Playgirl Magazine, and I did it. I did a full spread for Playgirl Magazine. I mean spread, man, I pulled my butt apart and stuff...I was totally nude...it was weird. I mean, you probably didn't hear about it 'cause I went under the name of Mike Honcho. But I just wanted you to know that. If you can hear me, if it got into your brain somehow...that I spread my buttcheeks as Mike Honcho." #michaellohan
@colormeroutine: Depends on the state. Some states require that all parties on the call be aware they're being recorded but some states only require that one party be aware. It looks like California is a state that requires that all parties consent, but I don't know where either of them were when the calls occurred.
@colormeroutine: Depends on the laws in your state. In Mississippi, where I live, you can record a conversation without the other party's permission or knowledge. #michaellohan
Dodai, I love your Sparklevamp updates -- they're written as though a tween (or her mom, I guess) snuck up behind you, knocked you out of your chair, slammed down on the caps lock key, and went crazy until you woke up and took your spot back. #michaellohan
" />Am I the only one who has a huge crush on Michael Sheen? I do find him quite sexy! (Except when he is playing Tony Blair!)And I think he is a very talented actor as well.
