Do Spirituality & Prayer Make Women More Promiscuous?
Dry Spells: Bad For Your Health, Good For His 'Gasm

We fuck so much we need Jesus. Shit, we keep a Mary around just so we can say we know a virgin...
And the Holy Spirit? Always trying to get in on a threesome.

Being spiritual apparently had a greater effect on sexual behavior than alcohol use, impulsivity, or even religion.
Or maybe they've always been, and being agnostic and disinterested, I've just never been aware.

Also both spirituality and healthiness (or one could say, both spiritual and physical health) have more to do with a holistic feeling than a structured practice like exercise or religion. I can see how of all the things listed, the factor that has its effect at the emotional level rather than the cognitive or behavioral level is the most significant.
Sex, really, really good sex, is something you feel in your soul (c'mon girl, you know that!) That's why I have to scoff a bit when people assume all "religious" people are scared of sex or anti-sex. The more connected you are to your soul, the better it feeeeeeeeeeels...
We all get there in different ways.

Though I'd TOTALLY agree if they said "religion" rather than "spirituality."
I also think the numbers have a lot to do with the mentality behind 1) being "saved" 2) being "chosen" or 3) being able to confess your "sins."

Marking the differences between the way men and women think of sex as solely biological is one the reasons why I wish scientists and media academics would put their cerebral thrust machines together more often.

On that note, I'd offer a more prosaic guess to counter Sally Law's suggestion: men are less likely to describe themselves as spiritual unless they're affiliated with a specific religion, while women are perhaps more likely to adopt a more generalized spirituality that doesn't come with a rulebook.
Or am I being unfair?

I've also heard it used by atheist friends working in jobs or countries where they have to pretend they're 'undecided' to avoid scandal.

Frankly, I find the researcher's yarn about transcendental harmonious sexual divinity hard to take seriously. It seems odd that that's what she concluded/pondered, unless it's just all around WTF-Relive The 70's!, everywhere.

I don't know how many times we have to say this, Media (not you, Anna).

Really, though, spirituality and prayer? Prayer kind of eludes to religion, while I separate spirituality from religion entirely.
With Eastern faiths especially, focus seems to be a key factor, and focus is generally important for women and sex, orgasm-wise. Or am I generalizing?
