    Hot tubs tend to be bad because the temp stays high enough to support bad microthingies, but at the same time, the chemical balance isn't maintained as well.

    Too much or too little chlorine, acid, or antialge, and dirty filters, too much organic matter (leaves), etc. can keep a pool of any size out of balance and capable of hosting icky stuff.

    Sex in water has never appealed. Never even attempted shower sex, my boyfriend's nearly a foot taller than me!

    I'm currently having ear, nose, and throat issues b/c of a pool I was in this weekend - which appeared to be clean.


    I didn't have this issue when swimming in the lake, but a pool? What's the deal, man?

    @puglove: @Peplum: Pool sex definitely does this... shower sex, on the other hand... well, you just have to make sure that the water doesn't hit the guy's chest, because from there it's straight on down to the penis spout. Once you look out for that shower sex is fantastic.

    @Gumbina80: My ex had an outside hot tub and it was not sexy getting it on in there. The seats are at a funny angle, it's really hot, there's jets of water blasting at you, and ack, it's really not that fun. It's such a myth.
