OK, so being really, really ridiculously good looking for a living does not pay well. But at least you get to attend swanky funeral after-after-parties, and hang in the VIP section of the VIP Room
The Diva story makes me angry. The jewelry at Diva are identical to the originals at Shana Logic. At least Urban Outfitters tries to change the original design a little when they steal work from artists.
And Shana Logic is pretty affordable to begin with.
Project Runway's Leanne Marshall wrote on her personal blog that she was unhappy with a business opportunity gone sour - but one which it was too late to pull the plug on. Discontent with retail partner Bluefly is the only logical conclusion.
Aww shucks. I hope everything works out for her, and I will most likely buy from it when it does come out - I love her designs!
Ya' know, I just can't get excited about anything coming from the people who popularised the velour tracksuit. Sorry, Juicy Couture, I don't care HOW intellectual your range is.
@Rare Affinity: Thérèse Coulange, the deputy managing director of Districom, who sent the fax, said that she had merely wanted hostesses able to "express themselves correctly in French".
that pisses me off to no end
plus, this whole story was ridiculous: urban area supermarkets in France are about as diverse as you can imagine. I don't see how having a promotional staff that the customers can relate to will damage the reputation of cheapo shampoo Fructis. gahh
@notheretomakefriends: what saddens me is that for every case when a disgruntled employee leaks employment practises memos to the authorities and organisations like SOS Racisme, there must but a thousand cases where the employers were smart enough not to put anything damaging in written.
@notheretomakefriends: If she wants "hostesses who can express themselves correctly in French" can I become one as I know how to say "Merde" with conviction?
Good for Rodarte. But it's kinda sad that it looks like they regained most (if not all) of weight they lost last year. They looked a lot healthier after losing it...
This is NOT a "fat hate" comment. This is a "too many people in my family suffer from lifestyle diseases simply because they can't put down the fork" comment.
@Our Lady of the Massacre: I, for one, am glad to see they gained some of the weight back. They both went on diets because Anna told them to and even put together a diet plan for them. She had them on some RIDICULOUS daily caloric intake.
Is Vanity Fair really considered a fashion magazine, though? Featuring Gisele on the VF cover was less about her as a model than her as a celebrity, and I just don't think she has the draw, outside the fashion world, to warrant it. I really don't see how that cover appealed to VF's usual audience, who probably read it for the political stuff.
Maybe Gisele's covers didn't sell because we already see her everywhere all the time. I wouldn't pay for a magazine with her on the cover when I could buy another magazine with someone interesting on it and see Gisele on every other page.

That the moon is on fire and she better get outside and help put it out right this instant."
Does anybody else hope that Paris calls looking to borrow clothes? And that it is secretly taped and leaked onto the internet?
