Those crazy kids at Oh No They Didn't are on a real Bill Hader kick these days. Not sure why at all, but it's making them happy, so what the heck.
I am wondering now though how tall is he, as I've always thought Seth was around 6', and I didn't think Hader was that tall. Not sure why I'm wondering either, but what the heck.
I've decided that this mildly irritated feeling I have whenever I see Rogan is due to that shambling, stoner schlub shtick of his reminding me a certain type of man that I steer clear of in real life.
@thatonegirlsays: haha, I love that Seattle music is hot again, and this time I'm a) old enough to go to the shows, and b) living on the Hill, and not in the suburbs. Though of course I am a poor student and don't go to many shows, but it's nice to see us in the news again.
That documentary was pretty cool-- it's in Danish, but they interview everyone from the new Seattle scene, who of course all speak English. I love that Mark Arm calls the new scene "grange" and is totally thrown by the direction of the music. (Full disclosure: Tiny Vipers used to be my housemate back in the day and think she should get waaay more attention than she does.)
In addition to being phenomenally talented, the Fleet Foxes are all such nice fellows. The first time I saw them they opened for Blitzentrapper (maybe 7 or 8 months ago?) and there was hardly anyone there to hear them, unfortunately. After their album came out they came back around to my neck of the woods, and their show sold out quickly. I couldn't get a ticket! I sent them a note on Myspace about how sad I was that I wouldn't get to see them (but how happy I was for them for selling out shows!), and Robin just put my name of the guest list for that night. Like I said - fine fellows. I'm sure they'll be great on SNL tonight!
@tinycowboyhats (hellodarling!): I just saw 7lbs and she was pretty charming in that. Plus, I think her background is interesting. She and her family were squatters in an old tenement building.
@tinycowboyhats (hellodarling!): I think she's pretty charming in Clerks II, but that might just be the Kevin Smith fan in me. Josie and the Pussycats is great as well - "Who's a rockstar..."
YAY COMEDY! I need comedy because I cannot believe William and Mary is making me take a fucking TOEFL test even though I've lived in Australia, finished an entire BA program IN ENGLISH and am now working on my ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE BA.
185 euros for a test that'll only tell them my English is great, which I could tell them for free.
I feel so behind on the FF love. My dad bought their album and burned me a copy last week. I'm definitely getting into it, but I feel uber-lame because my DAD beat me to it.
Side note, supposedly one of the FF guys works at a burrito place around here, and I went in with some friends on Thursday and tried to do discreet gawking, but was unsuccessful. I guess SNL is why. It's a valid reason.
@I fought piranhas: My dad is awesome. Liking FF makes up for when he told me that Nirvana was a flash in the pan and would never last. Now he owns all their albums and swears he never said any such thing.
@Ipomoea:: Seriously? Your dad is super cool. My dad only introduced me to the classics. Although we went and saw Robert Plant and Allison Krause in concert last summer. That was awesome! I was easily the youngest person there by 20 years.
@I fought piranhas: Ooh, my dad and I are both into Allison Krauss. My mom's more into Robert Plant (she looooves Zep). That album is great, though. I wish I'd been able to see that tour-- tickets were so expensive for the show up here.

I was watching that skit for days after it aired. Hader is the weirdest man alive.

She looked pretty hot in Alexander-- it's worth watching either with the sound off or MST3K-style with friends.
