    God. I'm so sick of hearing "Britney's estate" paying x amount to x person and another x amount to another x person. That is HER money that SHE earned. I feel like she's being taken advantage of which is quite sad considering her family is the one doing it.

    @victoriasauce: Not really... $2.7 million is a lot of cabbage to you and me, but a drop in the bucket to her. And whatever else you may say about this, she's stayed out of trouble since the conservatorship went into effect and is working at her career again and seems to be in relatively good shape these days (not just physically), so they seem to be doing their jobs well. Seems like well worth the money.


    Of course, I have my own opinion about rushing her right back into so much high pressure work, as well as the ultra-sexual nipple-tasseled costumes.

    @mwynn13: my sense is that the conservatorship has done her a world of good. She spends time with her kids. She's stopped courting the paps. She hasn't been carted off to the hospital in distress again.


    Granted, her father could waive his fee, but he and her mother have made money off both daughters for years. That would be too much to expect.

    @brendastarlet is on it: That's the part that bugs me. I think it's absolutely great her life is on track but everyone around her seems to think her focus should be Britney the Entertainer and not just BRITNEY. The way her dad keeps giving himself raises is BS too. Fine, allow him to get some money for his troubles but when he gets millions then keeps wanting MORE, I have to wonder why.

    @Gingerlime: Maybe like what she did for Tomb Raider? I didn't realize it at the time, but I found pictures of my old apartment where you could see a Tomb Raider movie poster in the background, and I was struck buy how frail and tiny she looked, despite being 'cut'.

    @CharlotteT: I dunno, I think she could pull it off. I just hope they don't try to make her sing, which has enormous potential to turn into a bad karaoke act. Lip-synching and original recordings are the way to go.
