    the dress disturbed me a little partly because I was watching the whole acceptance speech while holding my breath in fear-- I didn't know there was glass protecting him, and I thought OMG what if some asshole white supremacist takes this moment of so much hope to kill him and make a point? And the Michelle came out in a dress that kind of looked blood spattered, and I was a little bit freaked out.


    But leave her head alone, Greer. As my baby cousin once told me, when trying to make me feel better about a headband that didn't fit, there is no shame in having a big head.

    The thing I found disappointing in Michelle's dress was that she (they?) matched the girls' dresses to her, so that cute little Sasha ended up wearing black. I don't think she should be wearing pink, but black seems a little severe for a kid that just exudes fun.

    @Plum-Pie: I don't know, I haven't read anything about it. The whole family was matching, so I'm guessing one of the girls was always going to wear red, and one black. And little sisters always get lumbered with what's left after the big sister makes her choice (do I sound bitter??). But I would think that Sasha at least got to choose the dress she wanted, if not the colour.
