    OMG. Lilith Fair was the stuff of my fifth grade dreams. For about two years, my after-school ritual was doing my homework while rocking out to Alanis, Fiona Apple or Tori Amos.

    Add in some newer artists (Neko Case, Cat Power, Jenny Lewis, M.I.A., Lady Gaga even) and I would buy tickets! But seeing how this year's VHS Divas included Jordin Sparks and Miley Cyrus makes me fear for Lilith Fair. #lilithfair

    Oh man, I went to Lilith Fair every single year and loved it. I was just thinking the other day about it and how I'm in such a different place as a person and in my musical tastes. I may have to hold out judgement until I see the lineup but maybe I need to revisit 1997.

    I will be seeing Tegan and Sara on Saturday, so maybe that will be my own personal Lilith Fair. #lilithfair

    @LucilleTwoStep: Fact: we went to high school together and on the last day of my senior year, I got pulled over with Brandi and some mutual friends in the car while giving her a ride to someone's house for band practice. I love that in interviews now, people are like "why aren't you making a big deal of being gay?" and she's all "I'm not a pioneer, the pioneers are the Indigo Girls and Elton." And people are all shocked she's gay and really? DOGS KNEW IT. She's super-hot and super-gay. #lilithfair

    @Ipomoea: I'm not a lesbian, but I have the biggest girl-crush on her. I went to her show last month, and she is just as good in person (if not better)! But yeah...     Everyone on this thread who was too young to go last time is making me feel so old. I was just out of college and could not afford to go.

    I now feel like a sad old lady in one of those commercials where they get all giggly at a Rick Springfield concert.

    If I attend, will I be the old lady there with wet naps in her purse wearing a sun hat and sensible shorts while screaming at everyone to sit down and behave so I can hear Building a Mystery? #lilithfair

    @EdnasEdibles: HA! I was never allowed to go to concerts - my mother thought I would "smoke drugs" (she was right) so I didn't go to a show until I was 19 - Joni Mitchell - I almost got trampled. After 30 years in radio you can't DRAG me near a stadium. Clubs only - and then it better be Peter Himmelman. #lilithfair

    I always wanted to go to Lilith Fair, but I was like, 12 the last year of the tour so I never got a chance. My mother said years later that if she'd known she'd have taken me, but I always thought she'd be kind of a buzzkill at the show itself. #lilithfair

    When Lilith fair ended I was near the end of my "Lesbians are bad because the church says so and I can't get too near them or else I might become one" phase. Now I just occasionally wish I was a lesbian. I don't think it would "easier" (Tegan and Sara songs disabuse of me any such notions) but at least I wouldn't have to worry so much about pregnancy. #lilithfair

    It ended right dead center in the midst of my Uber Feminazi Straw Feminist phase. I bet you didn't know that sex is inherently evil, because women should never be involved with men in any capacity. How I ended up as a happy heterosexual is far beyond me

    @Zombie Ms. Skittles: Sex is inherently evil, though. If you do it before marriage, fire will rain down from the sky. Or so I thought 10 years ago.

    Yeah, I'm a heterosexual, but I don't know about the happy part. Just got a message from an Internet guy and all I can think is "He looks kinda like Jesus." I may like being unhappy.

    @lalaland13: Oh I was also very Christian and very confused. Generally, it's a Bad Idea to leave a 10 year old with gender identity issues who has been victimized by a teenage boy alone with only her thoughts for company for extended periods of time. Weird things happen. #lilithfair
