Russell Taylor, the former head of the foundation started by Subway sandwich-hocker and extreme creep Jared Fogle, has been sentenced to 27 years in prison. Taylor pleaded guilty to charges of child exploitation and manufacturing child pornography. The prosecution sought a 35 year sentence.
Prosecutors and defense attorneys in the Jared Fogle case submitted their requests for sentencing on Thursday, the Associated Press reports. Fogle’s attorneys asked the judge for a five-year prison term, saying in court documents that he “is profoundly sorry.” Prosecutors requested a 12 ½-year term.

Federal authorities raided the Indiana home of Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle Tuesday morning. Russell Taylor, who headed a childhood fitness charity founded by Fogle, was arrested in April on child pornography charges. The warrant served at Fogle’s home is believed to be connected to that case.
