Obviously, the paparrazo had bigger dreams of being a serious portrait photographer.
Bonus if at the last minute scheduled wedding photographer can't make it and dashing paparrazo jumps in to save the day by taking 'serious' artsy wedding photos that make the wedding planner do the 'that sly dog' open laughing smile.
I am very grateful once again that only 60 people are coming to my wedding in three weeks (!) and no media whatsoever will be there, unless you count the photographer.
So, in the end will all the celebrities get together to surprise the celebrity wedding planner with her own secret wedding? And yes, I would see this movie.
Well Bill and Hillary are supposed to be in Bermuda this weekend, but they may have left due to hurricane Bill. OMG the Clintons control the weather! Awesome.
Hmmm... what if in this movie there is a big storm which ruins the outdoor wedding and shows uptight wedding planner that she can't control everything. While she is running around trying to save the centerpieces or something paparazzi boyfriend rushes to help her because clearly she needs to be saved. Then after they successfully move the wedding inside and it goes off flawlessly- he proposes! All single professional women just want to be married after all!
@highjump: A professional would know the storm was coming. So she'd have a professional crisis at the same time and realize she's not that good at her job and should probably just get married and start cranking em out.
Please tell me that in the trailer for this movie we see the wedding planner trip and fall down quite a bit to show that while she indeed is a beautiful A-list actress type person, she is also daffy and wacky and unlucky in love. The song "Love Song" plays over it all.
I'll watch it Sadie, if you include this twist: the paparazzo is actually gay and runs away with the gay colleague and they get married in Canada and live happily ever after adopting a baby from Uruguay?
Oh lord. That is so a rom-com, get Katherine Heigl on the phone STAT. Oh, and find my lady friends who will go "SQUEEEE" and drag me there unwillingly. There better be popcorn with butter, girls. There BETTER be popcorn...

@BeSarcastic: Jonathan Katz is good friends with Ted & Mary. (he's also AWESOME to the Nth degree) so whomever your "friend of a friend" source is might very well be on to something... I LIVE on Martha's Vineyard (year round- paycheck to paycheck) ... the secret service that are crawling all over the island right now are more obvious than narcs at a Dead show. (you'd think they'd try a lil' harder)... Clinton had "Midnight Farm" (Carly Simon's overpriced store) all to himself the other day... well, him and a zillion secret service men. That store has an awful lot of high end wedding appropriate gifts in it... and not much "just for guys" stuff, it's very "boutique-y." ... plus a bunch of friends that work catering gigs are booked solid the next two weekends. Yet NONE of them have been told yet where the "party" is at next weekend that they will be working. It doesn't take much to put 2+2 together. This weekend is the annual fireworks (tonight) as well as the very popular Agricultural Fair (hooray for fried dough!) ... and Obama is expected to arrive on Sunday (this coming Sunday) mid morning... but we are also expecting bad storms here... The general consensus is that it's gonna be NEXT weekend if it takes place.
PS. I am far from exciting myself... I own a shop (till I close forever in a month... thank you economy! (grrrr)) right in the heart of town and manage to pick up more island gossip that you could imagine -whether I want to or not.
@Gillibeanz: OOoOOO... you're more hooked up than I. That's the only bit of celebrity gossip I knew months ahead of the media.
I wish you the best with your shop and your next endeavor. Who knows? Sometimes what seems terrible can be a great second chance at something. Crossing my fingers for you.
@Gillibeanz: You should put up a sign while all the movers and shakers are there - give them a little twinge in their elitist hearts. (I work high-end weddings and have some residual bitterness to work through.)
@BeSarcastic: for whatever it's worth.... Michelle & their daughters are already here on island. Tiger Woods is expected here this week (golf is a big deal on this island among summer peeps... I say "blech!") and rumor is he is here to play Obama. Others have said Oprah is expected... and a few other "celebrities" whose names I have forgotten at this late hour ... but all signs point to one hell of a shindig.
As for my shop, thank you for the well wishes, but I really am happy about closing. I did my very best for three straight years, went up against more bull@hit than most (including a (now former) business partner that ran away with his boyfriend and left me eternally in debt) but, again, I did my absolute best.. so I'm satisfied with that knowledge. Now maybe I can go find a job that I actually get paid at!
I don't care what anyone thinks of me, I will always love the first Bridget Jones' Diary if for nothing else than the scene where Colin Firth and Hugh Grant get into an all out street brawl, crash through a window of a Greek restaurant, and then land in the street moaning and groaning. And also, because when I'm feeling blue I just imagine Mark Darcy saying, "I like you...just as you are."
That puts a big ol' smile on my face. A big ol' horny smile...
can i just say that this is in NO WAY like marissa tomei in my cousin vinny? this is a timid and submissive woman, who will likely struggle with the idea of what she wants and how the world will view her for it, so is it worth getting what she wants? she just wants to be loved, after all....on the flipside, i have always loved marissa tomei for her role in my cousin vinny. she had her opinions, she was intelligent, she would fight for what she wanted, and she wanted babies, damn it! just because she was a strong woman, didn't mean she couldn't want babies. she didn't need a husband to take care of her, she needed a father for her children. THAT is a portrayal of a woman that i can get behind. (note, the commenter doesn't want babies, but doesn't think it is anti-feminist for others to...)

Throw in A Bridge Too Far to that list. Just don't let Michael Bay direct.

I didn't particularly like the book or the movies. I only saw them because of Colin Firth and Hugh Grant.
