    They do this in Latin America too, and not always prostitutes. At bars where foreign men hang out, you will find attractive local women who flirt with the guys. They have a powder form that you can basically blow in someone's face. Once they have inhaled, they will remain upright but blacked out, and when they wake up have no recollection of what happened. There have been instances where apartments have been entirely emptied of furniture and valuables, and bank accounts drained. Really terrible.

    Precisely the reason it would never occur to me to solicit a prostitute, aside from the obvious factor of cheating on my wife. Why should I trust anyone who is in something for money and perhaps has few scruples (prostitute, bookie, hedge fund manager, etc.)?

    Two wrongs don't make a right.


    Not that prostitution is wrong, per se.


    I'm thinking, if a woman chooses to enter prostitution and the sex is consensual, then it would be wrong for her to trick a man into thinking he's paying for a service and then rob him.


    Now, if there is NO consent, then... well they get what they deserve.


    As for men who happen to be in the wrong place, who have not sought out a prostitute, then again, still wrong.

    I saw a very, very interesting special on A&E about prostitution around the world. The Hong Kong clubs for actual Hong Kongers are MUCH nicer then the ones for western men. And they're filled with Western women.

    Everyone has said it already...but this is wrong. I've been drugged (and raped) and it made me feel unbelievably physically ill, removed hours of my life without memory and left me scared and vulnerable for years.


    It's something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

    @gherkinfiend: I'm so sorry this happened to you. A friend of mine was drugged at a bar, luckily she was not assaulted, but it was still so scary.


    No matter what gender you are, drugging (and assaulting) people is WRONG.

    Imagine the prostitues' surprise when they return to their apartments to find that while they were drugging and stealing from Western men, their wives were busy jacking everything from the prostitutes' apartments.
