At the root of the democratization of fashion is access/availability, which I think has increased. But at the same time it seems to have become more muddled and complicated. I don't necessarily disagree with the statement, though.
I think Barbara's fixing her gaze on the runway in an effort not to stare at the woman to her right, whose hair seems to be doing something rather ... odd.
@hooooooot: No, I don't have a problem with big hair. Bump-its even looked appealing to me as I like a little poof. You just don't see it too much up north.
And the lady in the hijab! With such a good seat! I would love to see more of her culture's influence in fashion...they some gorgeous colors in that part of the world.
@NaldoHecuba: Exactly my thoughts! LUV her expression. As a matter of fact I'd like to go to fashion week just once to see if I could perfect that look, preferably in the second row behind some famous floks so I'd be sure to get photographed.
@maggeimerc: me too!!!! i was like wait, surely she should look older? where is the curly hair? i even tried to convince myself the blonde lady in the back was chelsea! too much caffeine, methinks
