    My favorite Ricardo Montalban memory is the interview wherein he admitted that he made up the term "Corinthian Leather" when the producers asked him to really make the car sound incredible.


    And, like so many of y'all, when I think of Montalban, I'll always have:

    I am so devastated about Ricardo Montalban I cannot even tell you. Fantasy Island is my favorite show ever, and I always secretly hoped that Ricardo Montalban would fuck with my dreams and then solve all my life's problems with an ironic twist of fate. Alas, it is never to be.

    RIP Ricardo. I must say, though, that the thing I best know him for is a lame insult from my brother, used MULTIPLE times DAILY when we were children, of calling me "Retardo Montalban". No, I have no idea where a 7 year old came up with that, but I can say that it was ridiculously annoying and stupid- so of course he loved it. Sorry, Ricardo.
