    This reminds me of the day that my sister tried to tell me that, "Muslims are just more violent. I mean, you don't hear about people killing for Jesus like that."

    I started to say something about the inquisition, crusades and witch hunts but my head exploded so I didn't get the chance.

    Silly, Beck is NOT mainstream media. He's an ordinary guy that came and still is from the real America, like SP.

    @Little Green Frog (Wise Latina): Actually, Beck is really just a "zany-morning-show-DJ" with a bigger audience - it's how he got his start in the 80's at Phoenix's Y95.

    The difference between him, Imus, Stern, and George Carlin is that Carlin evolved into a real comedian and social commentator, the others are just loudmouth class-clowns. Too bad he's dead, he opened a lot of eyes to the hypocrisy in everyday America.

    Thank you SO much for reminding everyone of the WWII Japanese internment camps. In this context, it's particularly unsettling since the government recruited soldiers out of the camps and sent them on particularly dangerous missions in Europe. Their sacrifices were huge for a country that didn’t recognize them as equals.

    Oh, and is a woman who talks about God's will when referring to the war in Iraq REALLY the one to be criticizing religious nuts going into the army?

    If I profile, it is her fault. If I just start assuming that all fake-folksy brunettes who wear overpriced glasses and Bump-It's and who lie all the time are Sarah Palin- well so be it.

    @rowingrowingrowing: Since Palin has forced her way into my consciousness, I have moved to a new state, gotten a new job, gotten married, and generally turned my entire life upside down (but for the better). It seems like FOREVER.

    But mostly that isn't due to her, thank goodness.

    Somebody's been watching Transporter 2.

    I have this problem all the time. People see a white guy in a German sports car, weaving through traffic and yelling at the other drivers for their inability to follow the rules of the road, and automatically assume that I must be an asshole.

    In this case, they're probably right.
