The Cinema Society Screening of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse at Crosby Street Hotel took place on a muggy, gross night. And just looking at the stars' weird fashion choices made us feel hot. Not in the sexy way.

Yes, all the stars of stage, screen and runway were at Lincoln Center's 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards. Yes, it's one of the biggest fashion events of the year. So why was this year's such a snoozefest?

Bill Cunningham, the venerable street photographer, is an unlikely fashion institution, and the premiere of Bill Cunningham New York, at the Museum of Modern Art, brought out a ton of happy heavy hitters.

• As if trashgate and the news that it knowingly sold genetically-engineered cotton as "organic" weren't bad enough, now H&M is in trouble for the unsafe levels of lead in its handbags. The revelation comes courtesy of California's strict environmental laws:

It was an A-list family affair at NYC's Ziegfeld Theatre Nine premiere: Madonna and Lourdes; Goldie and Kate; Mary-Kate and Ashley - and, of course, the lovely galaxy that is the cast. And, yes, it was amazing:

Tom Ford's directorial debut A Single Man has been anticipated as a Stylish Event, and last night's screening - at the Museum of Modern Art - was too: a Madonna-Padma-Julianne-studded style extravaganza with just enough train-wreck to keep things interesting.

R.Patt and K-Stew insulated themselves from the ravening opening-night hordes with a scenester posse at NYC's Landmark's Sunshine Cinema: It would seem Agyness Deyn, Natalie Portman and the entire cast of Gossip Girl are all Twi-Hards. Down to the costumes!

• Lindsay Lohan, finally addressing her disastrously received first Ungaro collection, says, "I am learning." But she will be back in Paris for the next show! "It's already in January. I thought it was in March." January? January means couture.

The Cinema Society & Hugo Boss screening of Inglourious Basterds in NYC was star-studded, full of win, and had a gratifying dollop of awful. In short, it's a good one, kids. And supersized!
