Rachel Bilson's black column dress is elegant, though a little dull.

A little Internet research reveals Hofit Golan's claim to fame seems to be posing on red carpets in skin-baring outfits. Mission accomplished!

While this is not my favorite dress on Dita Von Teese, I appreciate her wearing a bright color, when almost everyone else chose black. She is a show-stopper, even if the ruching and the sleeves seem a bit much.

The challenge was to create a surfer girl inspired look. To find out about this challenge, the designers had to be driven all the way to the damn beach, where they encountered Tim Gunn in sunglasses and flip-flops.

Personally, I miss the wacky challenges, like making a dress out of corn husks or crafting a wrestling outfit. Red carpet and beach wear? These are what are known as "gimmes."

At some point it was revealed that in addition to a fun beachy look, the deisgners would need an avant garde look as well. Here's how they reacted to that news:

The "beach scene" really threw some people off. Take Nicolas for instance. To him, "beach" meant "lace garters".

His teammate tried to rationalize: A seawoman! Like in that mermaid movie! And she's fallen on hard times! So she has to to be a hooker! In the '80s!

And whipped up a little cocktail dress, which won the whole damn thing. Summer from The O.C. said she would wear it "with alterations."

Ra'mon's teammate slacker Mitchell was eliminated, and rightly so.

• Star reporter Kate Major resigned today after announcing that she's dating Jon Gosselin, as she wouldn't want this conflict of interest to tarnish the mag's stellar reputation. Too bad Michael Lohan won't stop talking about his new BFFs.

• According to Lohan, who spoke with Radar Online and ABC News today, Major, who is best friends with his fiance Erin Muller, called him and said she and Jon needed a place to stay to get away from the paparazzi. • Nadya Suleman will be in the hospital for the next day or two after undergoing a second surgery in four days. She went in for an operation on Thursday to remove benign muscular tumors on her uterine wall, but excessive bleeding forced doctors to stop the surgery. • Brad Pitt and his brother Doug Pitt have donated £392,155 to Drury University in their hometown of Springfield, Missouri. • Angelina Jolie watched the trial of a Congolese warlord accused of using child soldiers in the International Criminal Court today. She praised the former child soldiers who came to testify against him, saying, "After watching the proceedings from the viewing booth, I stood up and found Thomas Lubanga Dyilo looking at me. • Robert Pattinson is going to star in all sorts of serious indie movies, to show the world that he's much more than just that dude from Twilight.
