Pygmy hippos are incredible. In the 1940s Ringling Bros. had a really terrible circus fire in Hartford. The animal keepers weren't able to drag their pygmy hippo's water tank out of the tent in time. But she saved herself by diving down and staying submerged under the water until it was over. She was totally fine. Pygmy hippos are awesome. And if my landlord would allow it, I'd totally want one.

There was a baby pygmy hippo here in the Edinburgh Zoo a couple years ago. It wus teh kutist.

She was so shiny and round and cute! You just wanted to SQUEEZE HER. She was my son's most favoritist animal to see - and see it we did - regularly.

I still bore anyone who will listen about it whenever we are there "And there are the pygmy hippos...Oh you should have SEEN the baby a couple years ago..."

It was unusual for me, but looking at this vid I am sure you can all understand my love for that cute little beh beh!
