    @apollonia666: And chances are, the publicist knew EXACTLY what kind of a site this was and wanted the negative attention. It was a total reverse psychology move... I didn't fall for that shit when my mom told me "Don't you eat this broccoli rabe!" when I was three...

    Okay, so then why did you post the whole thing? This confuses me. I would understand if you had blacked out the product name. Now that would be actually amusing to me. I would think about the unhappy PR flack who managed to get his or her stuff on Jezebel, but whose client would not benefit in any way. But posting the whole thing makes no sense to me.

    Um...I think you guys gave them what they wanted. You posted every bit of what they wanted you to, including the tags "weight gain" and every celebrity's name (metadata/search engine purposes).


    Negative publicity aside for the crappy company (because people who do not frequent this site will look at the pictures and not necessarily read the comments), I'm kind of disappointed in Jezebel for this one.


    Sorry, but I don't dig this one. Just sayin...

    Not to be a total bitch, but you still posted this material with the pictures. If you wanted to make a point about the horrible emails you get from annoying flacks, send the email. Photos not really necessary. This kinda blurs the line between "This is horrible look what terrible companies do" and buying into it.


    I mean, when it comes down to it, their egregious material was posted.

    @Betsy: I don't know if I'd want to be Oprah. She seems to equate weight gain with immorality. I want to say to her, you know it is not evil to be fat. It is painful to try to maintain a weight that is not realistic for you. And by realistic I mean a weight that doesn't require a personal chef and a daily personal trainer, y'know?

    yyyea Mariah Carey actually looked a lot skinnier in 2008, she was beefy for awhile there but had to slim down for her adventures in cougarism! Furthermore that picture of her "before" had to be so airbrushed, she hasn't been that skinny since like 1990.


    WTF happened to Joaquin? He's the only guy with a hairlip I've ever loved, what buffalo took over his f-ing body are you kidding me?? NOOOOOO!!!

    The problem with Joaquin is not that he's gained weight, but that he is starting to look like a serial killer. Also, Jennifer Love Hewit looks hot & way better in that picture than I've looked in a bikini in a looooong time.
