    Barack Obama's choice received the Mandela Award for Health and Human Rights and a MacArthur Foundation "genius grant." When Hurricane Katrina destroyed her clinic in Alabama, she treated people for free, or in exchange for oysters. Official announcement forthcoming. [AP]
