    Tim Gunn in an apron was the highlight of the episode. I actually squealed, then told my roommate I want Tim to come over for dinner. He's just so delightful.

    The rest? Ugh. Not even the return of Nina and Top American Designer Michael Kors could save it. I fell asleep watching it--a Project Runway first for me. #projectrunwayseason6

    @maybeimamazed02: Nothing really tops the time that Jeffrey Sebelia had Tim drink out of a coffee mug that said "Slut." It's about the only redeeming feature I find in Jeffrey, but that was hilarious. #projectrunwayseason6

    I need to make a confession, I didn't actually bother to watch this episode. I might watch a rerun later this week because I tend to enjoy the episodes where Tim makes his visits, but at this point I honestly could care less who actually wins this thing. I'm not even sure I'll watch next season at this rate. #projectrunwayseason6

    @KATE!: It was maybe two-thirds all black outfits with three cream and/or brown pieces and a couple of pieces which were black and cream. But, yeah, it was still a very black-heavy collection, although the intricate design elements made up for the lack of color, at least they did for me. #projectrunwayseason6

    @KATE!: I just saw that episode on rerun, and yeah, Christian and Rami used a ton of black to great effect. Those are two designers who were really into dramatic textures, shapes, and detailing, though. The same thing would be overwhelming in color. Irina is no Christian or Rami. #projectrunwayseason6

    Seriously! Tim Gun has never looked so detached and unemotional about a group of designers. You could tell he was, overall, less enthused because he is usually so invested in their successes. Something magical is gone.

    I've been in a mood to overanalyze of late, and I recently directed this energy at my feelings toward Irina, who, since Epperson's dismissal, has been set up as the villain of the season.

    But why are we hating her here ladies? She's motivated to win. She uses her time very wisely and avoids pleasantries and socializing. She's out for blood, but she's just doing what she thinks it takes to win. How does not setting aside time to make nice with contestants she may never see again make her so awful??

    In the end, it may be a bad PR move for her, because are many of us prepared to worship clothing created by someone so mercenary? But I can't fault her competitive edge or her lack of fake "nice." #projectrunwayseason6

    @JerseyGrrrl: I agree with most of that. Plus, she's often been shown socializing outside the workroom, I always noticed in the scenes in the apartments where they were sitting around talking in a big group that she always seemed to be smiling and conversing. And didn't she say last night that despite her and Althea's tension, that she still liked everyone?

    Besides, by the end of the season, they were editing in SO many catty remarks from just about everyone that I have a hard time believing Irina was uniquely mean. #projectrunwayseason6

    @JerseyGrrrl: but she doesn't lack face nice, she is the epitome of fake nice. shes not a straight up bitch, which i would have much more respect for, but the kind of person who undercuts you and then smiles. after she accused althea of copying her (because you know, irina invented the oversized sweater) there have been all of these snide insinuations and remarks about how "similar" altheas shit looks to irinas, but they followed with a smile and a little chuckle. its these false-niceities that annoy me the most.

    i think if you're going to be a bitch, you've got to commit 100% to get away with it. if you say something assholeish and then laugh like "oh its a joke, haha" you come off as a "catty" bitch which is a bitch i just can't support.

    and also, you dont have to be an asshole to be a winner. its the biggest misconception people have about competition. if you were truly confident in your own abilities, you wouldn't feel the need to shit on other people's parades. #projectrunwayseason6

    @dreamweave: It's true. Though I wonder if most people are able to be at once driven and nice because they're not actively competing against those around them in such a clear cut way. It's strange for me to stick up for her, because I'm nice to the point of self-sabotage sometimes in the workplace ("Sure, I'll help you do that better and let you take credit!"), but it makes me wonder about how quick we are to disparage lack of "nice" in competitive women and what our reaction would be if Irina were a man.

    PS. I passed her on the sidewalk in midtown and she had one mean look on her face. But to be real, I usually do too when I'm up to my elbows in tourist families. #projectrunwayseason6

    @JerseyGrrrl: I agree with you. Irina was shown to be catty and competitive, but so was Christian Siriano during his season. Contrast that to Jeffrey's far worse, imo, behaviour during Season 3, and the fact that Kenley was apparently so reviled by the end of her season that none of the remaining contestants (Jerell, Korto and Leanne) would even speak to her, let alone offer congratulations when she made the final. Ditto the chilly reception Santino got from Chloe and Daniel prior to Bryant Park during season 2.

    I actually admire Irina's laser-like focus she had on her own work during the show. I also think, regardless of her personality, she works very hard at what she does. I can't say she doesn't deserve to be in the finals, at least among this group of designers. #projectrunwayseason6

    @pumpkinsoup: To me the difference is, Christian and Santino were funny and bitchy at the same time. Kenley wasn't so much funny, but just so over-the-top whiny that it made for good tv. And they were all better designers than Irina. #projectrunwayseason6

    @JerseyGrrrl: She doesn't avoid niceties because she's so focused on her work, though. She sets aside the time to scrutinize and slam everybody else and she's totally deluded about her own talent level. She's had a lot of construction problems, she styles everything like a teenage mall rat and she thinks everything is better with a sash. Irina has no idea what to do with color. Remember the blue challenge when she hated everything about Gordana's bright top, and tried to insist on a sparkly sash, then took credit for it when the judges liked it? #projectrunwayseason6

    @JerseyGrrrl: I agree with you. Althea is annoyed at Irina for accusing her of stealing her designs but didn't she didn't she accuse Logan. I think we are just accustomed to having a villain every season, and this season it is Irina. She gets points in my book because when listing her specifications for the 13th model, unlike the other two, she didn't request a very skinny model. #projectrunwayseason6

    Fashionista made an excellent point about Irina and the Coney Island designs:

    "So Irina’s got issues with Althea about copying ideas, but was fully okay with using another artist’s renderings for her shirts without permission? Obviously, there were some lawyers involved with the show who were not so okay with this."

    It hadn't even occurred to me until I read that. Another reason I cannot stand her. #projectrunwayseason6

    @EkaterinaBallerina: I was under the impression that the rendering was done by Irina but she couldn't use the Coney Island Cyclone within her design since THE CYCLONE is copyrighted (which is why she opted to just use the birds). Did I misunderstand it all? Because I am no fan of Irina's but I don't think she stole the actual image from another artist.

    @polypam: No, from what I understood she used prints of Coney Island and silk-screened them on t-shirts. The original artwork was not hers at all. The images were copyrighted, not just what the image was of. That's the impression I got. #projectrunwayseason6

    @curiousgeorgiana: I watched Season 1 and Season 2 when they were on and fell in love with Tim Gunn, Jay and Santino. But I moved the next town over and even with extended cable, they didn't offer Bravo. I've been out of the PR loop for awhile but I remember everyone talking about Christian so I think I'm going to go rent that season because trying to get back into it during this season has been impossible, especially since I've never like the evil trifecta of Heidi, Michael and Nina. #projectrunwayseason6

    @curiousgeorgiana: I'm getting ready to check Netflix for it :). And I love the funny ones. Besides liking their designs, (my mom always says that I have my paternal grandma's taste though and she doesn't say it like it's a good thing) I loved Jay and Santino because they were funny. Every time I hear the name Andre, I think of Santino's Tim Gunn impression. #projectrunwayseason6

    @linnyt is a walking cliché: See and I was going to guess she's never actually been to Coney Island. Coney Island is not chic. It is not custom knitwear and elegance. It is hotdogs, littered sand, unidentifiable smells, cotton candy, baseball, beer and tattoos. It is the venue of the Mermaid Parade. Unless she determined that, for her, fashion was the exact opposite of Coney Island, I see no way whatsoever that her collection relates to it. #projectrunwayseason6

    My love for Tim Gunn is the only reason I've stuck through this crazypants season. The most exciting part of the finale? Carol Hannah used an actual color, instead of black/gray/beige like every other item of this show. I think that's how I'll sum up the season. Gray/black/beige.
