Seriously, watch the video, if you haven't yet. It's really eye-opening, whether you like Gordana or not. There are interviews with other eliminated contestants too. #projectrunwayseason6
As someone who loves grey, I loved Gordana. She was definitely my favorite this season. She was super sassy. I can see how people might have thought she was boring but she was technically much better than pretty much anyone but Irina. #projectrunwayseason6
@KelseyElle: I don't even love grey and I love Gordana. I was stunned when they cut her. She made lovely clothes, especially her last dress. #projectrunwayseason6
@Hana Maru: That last dress made me wish I was a woman. She was robbed. The show would rather have drama in the top 3 than talent. #projectrunwayseason6
@alexherrera: Althea and CH had messy construction, and Irina's was an unflattering disaster! I felt like they were looking for fault with the cathedral dress, asking her to turn around, something about the back?
@Hana Maru: Ain't nothing wrong with that back. Although, a few accessories on her arms wouldn't have hurt. i.e. bracelets and such. #projectrunwayseason6
My favorite quote from that interview was Gordana's statement, "I like people of humor." The grammatical arrangement... just makes me happy. #projectrunwayseason6
No offense, but did I miss this amazing designer everyone is talking about? She was in the bottom four other times and her outfits overall were eh. Yes, she had a couple of shining moments here and there, bet they were sparse at best.
I agreed with the judges, I never got an idea of what her aesthetic was - where she would actually go with a whole collection. This tends to be a huge mistake for contestants, because when the judges cant see the big design, the greater scheme, than they are more willing to look past you. But, I just feel the ageism and other complaints dont really have a lot of basis here. Im still surprised she made it that far. #projectrunwayseason6
I think this season has definitely gotten the Real World treatment...favor for the young, pretty ones. What's the point of competition when you've got the top 3 locked down from the beginning? #projectrunwayseason6
seriously what was heidi's issue with her? it was so odd. when she won the wedding dress challenge, heidi said something like "good job, this time" in such an overwhelmingly bitchy way. it seemed like even when she won, she couldn't win, y'know? #projectrunwayseason6
@funnyface: It did indeed. Of course, it was also the only one that had a damn thing to do with the art on which it was based. You could tell the judges were pissed that they liked it, because they (and the producers) already decided she'd be out. #projectrunwayseason6
Personally, my vagina doesn't look like that so I don't get what people are carrying on about. But either way, so what? What is wrong with vaginal imagery in a dress? #projectrunwayseason6
@funnyface: do you know why her store is closing? I hope it is because she is on to bigger and better things.
She was so sweet and charming in that video clip. I wish she would have received a better treatment in the editing process and by the judges. #projectrunwayseason6
@funnyface: Do you know why it is closing? Is it because she can't sustain the business or because she is moving on to better things? #projectrunwayseason6
@xay: I wouldn't want a penis dress either. Or a boobs one. Really, I don't want my clothes to look like body parts. It was a boring dress and it sorta looked like a vagina. And it was an entirely too-literal interpretation of a rather boring Monet. I like Gordana, loved her wedding dress challenge look and her New York look, but she seemed to think the great vag dress was her magnum opus, when really it was rather boring and not figure-flattering. #projectrunwayseason6
@funnyface: I liked the dress because I thought it was the most interesting out of a mediocre bunch. I wouldn't want to wear it, but there is a lot of fashion that I like to look at and I think is interesting for its own sake that I wouldn't wear. Compared to the others, I thought that it was the only one that I could see the link to its inspiration and was well made.
IMO, this season has suffered from too much judging based on "I would wear that", but that's another rant for another day. #projectrunwayseason6
@funnyface: Have you seen this painting, or any from the series? I know preference is subjective, and all, but the beauty doesn't translate well to a television screen. It's quite breathtaking in person. #projectrunwayseason6
@Valkyrie607: SEASON ONE! SEASON ONE! So much creativity, supremely inventive challenges, great interpersonal drama, Austin Scarlett! #projectrunwayseason6
@curiousgeorgiana: Oh man, I would love to lock Kenley and Irina in a room together and tell them to collaborate just to watch the babydiva fur fly...before Irina tried to turn it into an ugly shrug. #projectrunwayseason6
I don't see why people are blaming Lifetime when the same exact production companies and judges were involved in the making of the show as when it was on Bravo. Lifetime wanted a product that was already successful - why would they change it?
That being said, I think they opted to cast this year with more amateurs, a la the first season, so the money means something when they win. Alas, that means they miss out on talent.
I thought this season was more entertaining than the last. I am hard pressed to remember who made it to the final three or why I cared. #projectrunwayseason6
@Sweet Panda Love: Kenley, Leanne and Korto with Leanne coming out on top and Kenley trying to pretend like living on a tugboat was an excuse for assy behavior and poor Jerrell winning the last challenge and then not getting to show because the judges decided to do a SURPRISE! final challenge that he lost to Kenley who ripped off her dress from an actual designer. Season before that would be Christian Siriano beating Jillian, Chris, and the Jewish guy whose name escapes me but who draped everything with Chris March losing out on getting to show at Bryant Park in the last episode. Before that was Jeffrey "Neck Tattoo" Sebilia beating Uli and Laura Bennett.
This season, I've been hard pressed to tell the designers apart until the last few weeks.
And Lifetime hired Bunham/Murray to replace The Magical Elves as production company. BM you might remember as the people behind The Real World. So it wasn't the same production company, which is why everyone is so pissy. #projectrunwayseason6
there is a project runway marathon on bravo right now. season santino. oh how i miss the good ol' days when the show was on bravo and the designers were talented.
lifetime ruined my favorite show. its a sad day when i think that the contestants on antm are more talented than the ones on project runway. #projectrunwayseason6

That said, her Charleston store is closing, and I'm totally going to go down there on my lunch break and see if there's anything worth scoring.
