(fun Keanu fact, in both Point Break and the Replacements he played former college football hotshot quarterbacks who blew in the big game to the chagrin of the new co-workers who bet on said game years before)

"Pain heals ... glory lasts forever."
Hee.
Gene Hackman was in it too, so I think it's OK that we quote.

that being said, there was no reason on earth to redo The Day the Earth Stood Still
It is a damn fine movie and should be left alone.
Keanu, I won't be watching this flick.
PS. I LOVE YOU
PPS. SERIOUSLY.

"What would happen if you melted? You know, you never really hear this talked about much, but spontaneous combustion? It exists!...[people] burn from within...sometimes they'll be in a wooden chair and the chair won't burn, but there'll be nothing left of the person. Except sometimes his teeth. Or the heart. No one speaks about this, but its for real." [a real quote from the man according to IMDB]

I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but he was an excellent choice (understated, gaunt, vacant) for the Matrix flicks (though they themselves got pretty freakin' bad) and I'm looking forward to seeing The Day the Earth Said 'Whoa.'

BTW, This song played as the crowd filed out of my first and only KISS concert, circa 2002. It was freakin' awesome.

Absolutely no doubt.
Keanu as Kevin: Listen to me like you've never listened to anyone before in your life!
Rooo: Yes master Keanu.
To be fair, he was actually really good in Parenthood. Hilarious. A supporting part, but absolutely hilarious.

Just like every day has its dawn,
Just like every cowboy,
Sings a sad, sad, song.
