"It is completely apparent now that our elected officials don't give a tinkers damn what their consituents want. That they would foist this monstrosity on us despite the public outcry against it is almost unimaginable. I hope that there will be many more, larger marches on Washington and that common sense and reason will prevail. But, if last night was any indication, common sense and reason left Washington a long time ago. It is time to clean house (both White and Congressional) and the Senate. I fear that some Repubs are even in on the Dems little scheme, so they too must be weeded out and destroyed. It is time to find the truly conservative and fiscally responsible candidates and back them hard. It will not be easy as there will be much opposition from the Dem machine and their cohorts in crime. But it MUST be done to save this country and our freedoms. God Bless America and God Bless Sarah Palin."
Ha, "tinkers damn" what will those folksy rednecks think up next?

That is the kind of true believers most political movements have to grow in vats and brainwash from birth to get. Sarah Palin will never be dropped. We'll be hearing from her till we're all old and crusty. #sarahpalin

what saddens me the most is that so many people are too stupid to connect the dots in this simple way: elderly=medicare=government healthcare. #sarahpalin

And I'm so frustrated because it's almost impossible to convince anyone who thinks being Pro-Choice is anything like what she's saying that it's not. It's the polar opposite.
I absolutely do believe women are capable of doing those things, as long as there's a system in place that helps make that possible. But I also believe no woman should be forced to carry to term. Because I wouldn't want anyone to be forced to abort. Is that so hard to understand? That choice is about ALL of this? It's about being able to have an "imperfect" child without having to suffer for it? About not being forced to, but being able to choose to?
And to be frank, life at any cost is not, in my opinion, always the most compassionate view. There are birth defects, deformities, and congenital conditions that it is in every way a compassionate decision to terminate.
People can choose not to, but I'm tired of the idea that Pro-Choice is some kind of callous position.
Further, I want our elderly folks to be cared for. I'm sickened by the way we abandon them and are so afraid of that stage of life that we just shuffle off the responsibility. Being Pro-Choice hasn't hampered my ability to understand all the ethical nuances in both situations. And I'm disgusted that this woman would make such a suggestion.
It's just so wrong to to say these things. So wrong and awful and destructive. #sarahpalin

I just can't fathom equating one with the other. Being Pro-Choice doesn't make you inhuman or unethical or not compassionate. I'd actually argue that, because being Pro-Choice requires taking a much more difficult political position...and because advocating for choices will always be advocating for something technically more difficult than having things required/dictated of you...then you're more likely to be compassionate and ethical and understanding of nuance. Because you have to be. That's pretty much the nature of choice, in any circumstance. #sarahpalin
