We imagine female members of the armed services would be among the many upon whom the charm of such a campaign is lost.
Yes, thank you for articulating why I hate this campaign. For the campaign to be successful, you have to assume that everybody in the military is a straight man and all women were just waiting at home (in sexy clothes) for the men to return. Believe it or not, there are WWII veterans who also happen to be women.
Why even get live humans to waste their time posing for these pictures anymore? Can't they just Google up some stock photos and cobble together a composite image?
Why pretend that what we're looking at is representative of a human? She's already a very attractive person! Give it a rest!
I kind of don't get why anyone bothers paying models anymore. Why not just use CGI? And for that matter, why should print models bother staying thin if they just whittle them down to required size after the fact? #marisamiller
I said she looked gaunt that day - and said it was not as redonk as the pic below (the fired toothpick RL model) - but I may have been hasty. When will they stop making women look unnatural? #demimoorephotoshop
@DinaRonson : Elizabeth Cady Stanton: Yeah, that too. She's like a wind-up doll that's wound dowwwwnnnnnn.
@Triana Orpheus: Hey! Maybe that explains the missing hip and the fact that she's a zombie? She was attacked by a zombie, who thought her brains were in her ass!
@Diziet_Sma: Just because they erased her expressions and all signs of lines or facial muscles, then altered her eyes into mono-color glow-orbs, you call her a zombie.
When-oh-when will women stop body-snarking their zombie sisters! #demimoorephotoshop
Plus in the cover picture her arms look muscular (see left arm particularly) and then in an inside picture they appear to have no muscle tone whatsoever.
When Demi said she'd give an arm and a leg for the cover of W, she didn't realize they'd take her seriously. Luckily, she bargained them down to just her left hip. #demimoorephotoshop

So they can eventually get runway work, of course! At least until they develop photoshop for reality (besides plastic surgery, that is). #marisamiller

Still looks better than next month's cover of Cate Blanchett. #demimoorephotoshop
