#2 Yes, JHud did lipsync the anthem. The producers demand it. Trying to sing live on field like that produces an echo that completely messes you up. You hear your first note while you're singing the fifth note. Earplugs don't help. Everyone does it, because it's in the contract.

I've feared that PB would face chronic underemployment in non-British cinema thanks to his quiet demeanor and molelike pallor, so I am particularly psyched about his casting as Stephen Maturin. This completely works! He knocks this role out of the park, I bet.

Sad though that no O'Brien movie franchise seems to be forthcoming. With the right actors in place (hello, Ioan Gruffudd!!), I find I have a pretty high tolerance for Royal Navy nerdiness.

And now back to Miley Cyrus, about whom I have nothing even slightly interesting to add.
