Oh my. I felt compelled enough to pop my Jezebel-commenting cherry (thus adding to the lady leakage, I’m afraid) to mention that in-keeping with Perez’s better-late-than-never theme, the bull semen conditioner experience is not new news. I think my BFF Cosmo was suitably shocked by it many a month ago. Ironic, seeing as there was a beautiful juxtaposition with some reader’s comment about how she loved it when her boyfriend came in her hair ... ... I may have made that last bit up. I’m not entirely sure. But it’s believable, non?
Ah well, I guess the recession -is- encouraging people to recycle.

I don't know how many women would take fashion tips from a guy whose hair is dyed according to the primary color wheel or who's had red carpet moments which included wearing a Hello Kitty shower cap. His blogs are so smugly self-absorbed, they are beyond relatable. I prefer consistently informative websites that aren't lorded over by a pompous jackass who is devoid of class, style and wit.

Nice attempt at staying relevant, but I'll pass.

The whole "dance live believe" nonsense in the background really bothers me. He has positive words for his readers when he is trying to sell them something, but nothing but degrading and hateful statements for the subjects of his articles. "Love yourself, but hate everyone else" seems to be his misguided message.

Oh, okay, so there's just MINOR retouching going on? God forbid we would see a single trace of humanity in a magazine photo.

@The HappyHydrozoan is learning to deal: I love how the makeup artist and lighting directors also aren't mentioned. A lot of people work on the advertisements we see each day- image editing (Photoshop, et al.) is just a small piece of the puzzle.

@hortense: Probably not. Getty is powerful and doesn't usually allow modification of its images. They don't have to, people will do business with them.

@sportz.star: Also, what's the point? So people won't steal the image from his site? Why would they when you can sign up for an account and get unwatermarked images yourself? At least you can with most stock sites, I don't use Getty.
