DODAI, is that a chococat pin (or scarf?) you're sporting? Kayoot!
I am no way a girly-girl, but the red-polka dot gloves speak to me. Maybe because they showed restraint and didn't make the dots into a million little kitty heads (ahem, OPRAH take note).
I love it. I used to always want all the sets of school supplies when I was younger- but I never got them. I blame my mother for my stunted personal growth. I need Hello Kitty Mary-Janes to help me through. :)
Hello Kitty is cute but too girly I'm all about cute/scary characters like Gloomy Bear or Kuromi (sort of the "evil" My Melody).Nothing wrong with cute stuff, I hear its good for your health. I am 28 and I love cute Japanese characters. (hmm..that sounds too much like an intro for a 12 step program)
@Lelielle: Well, Hello Kitty became too girly after she had 'american makeover'. She used to always sport trousers and striped t's and was always on the go.
I... I just don't understand HK obsession. I love cats. But something about cartoon cats on my shit just makes me think of awkward older ladies that wear Christmas sweaters and collect statuettes. Not my bag.
Gaaah. The target market for Hello Kitty is not a market that needs/wants/should have diamonds all over everything. No piece of Hello Kitty gear should cost more than $20...unless it's a bedsheet set or pup tent or ...car.
I am so there. Sorry. I love Hello Kitty. From my desk at work I can see three Hello Kittys. I also have a Hello Kitty background on my phone and Hello Kitty cell phone charms. And a Hello Kitty electric guitar.
@KittenFluff: My daughter asked (and got) the electric guitar for Christmas last year. I told her I'm so jealous they didn't have all this stuff when I was growing up in Mexico.
@happysquid: Oui, this is Atticus. I took this picture last night; it was impossible to get him to stay still (him and his brothers have only just started walking, and they are intent on investigating our entire house).
I love Hello Kitty and I am not ashamed. I have that Humane Society T-shirt( along with many others) and good amount of Tarina Tarantino Pink Head Jewelery. One of my debit cards is HK and I will not feel bad about that.

Amen, ladyshiv. This is all preparation for growing up to order clothing from that Quacker Factory lady on QVC.

She's a Chinese knock-off!* Either that or my twin, Mimi,--my twin sister not Mariah Carey--is moving in my territory!
* Authentic Japanese know you don't put your paws together when bowing.
