But she was quite good in The Beguiled with Clint Eastwood, where he plays a wounded Confederate soldier and lecherous con artist who gets taken in and nursed back to health/kept prisoner by all the man-crazed females in a Southern girls' boarding school- and her character sweetly feeds him poisoned mushrooms for dinner after he throws her pet turtle against the wall and kills it. Coincidence duly noted.
