    Oh my goodness. There were parts of that that were just unbelievably funny, and parts that were just gross. But I love pretty much anything Paul Rudd touches.

    Okay, personally, I found it to be rather humorous. But I like my humor like I like my chocolate. Dark and with nuts in it. Where it got unfunny for me was when it ended up being a movie about them painting each other. That was sloppy.

    I really really didn't understand what was supposed to be funny about this. Today I think maybe it's funny if you're uncomfortable with the idea of men in love?


    Justin Timberlake stole the show. Beyonce was funny too.

    I turned it off when the blood started spraying everywhere during that sketch. I don't care if it got funnier-- that skit was revolting. Between the loss of Tina and Amy and the amazingly unfunny images of people slitting their own throats, I'm done with this show. They've been getting progressively unfunny for some time, but the dynamic duo gave them an election-era boost. Now they're headed back down the slippery slope to irrelevance.

    All of I could think after the show was over was - very homoerotic. But that's not really a bad thing.


    The back-up dancers - that was truly delightful. First of all, JT proved my theory that he would be a beautiful woman. Seriously, he looked fab in that leotard.


    And Andy Samburg...well, Seth Meyers will always be my ultimate SNL crush of all time (seriously, when he smiles and twinkles his eyes at me, I get ideas). But Andy has a really, really, REALLY nice ass. That leotard did him some favors too. I mean, his ass was smoking.

    I kind of enjoyed last night's episode, but I didn't actually laugh out loud until Justin popped up during weekend update. And how hilarious was the Beyonce backup dancer sketch? Oh dear God, I about peed myself.

    @Raspberry Swirl the Waitress: I thought JT was great on both Weekend Update (when he summarized the show he would have hosted for Thanksgiving) and in the sketch.


    It showed what a terrible actress Beyonce is, although we knew that, but also that she has a sense of humor. Better that she self-parody the "Single Girls" vid before everybody else on YouTube does. Now, she owns it. So maybe her YouTube evenings paid off.

    @brendastarlet: When he popped up, I told my friend he needed to come back and host because those episodes never much fail to make me laugh. I was so disappointed to hear he was to do the Thanksgiving episode but had to back out.


    Beyonce did seem kind of blah during it, but I basically tune out when she talks anyway.

    I think all the blood and stuff is Samberg. Granted, there have been gross-out sketches since way back (Bass-o-Matic! and the Olympic weightlifter whose arms ripped off spring to mind), but there's been a lot more lately.

    Ugh. SNL is rarely and barely the format to offend me but to be honest, that short was so horrifying. And as I commented yesterday in the live thread, way too much suicide mocking. It's so teenage boy and really not that funny. And I'm not even the sensitive type, but really. Someone should've said something.
