    Georgina Chapman is gorgeous, talented, and successful. Is Harvey Weinstein sexually attractive by any stretch of the imagination? Sometimes I feel that I never got the memo that sexual attraction, however subjective, is overrated. I will not give up. I will aim for a man whose clothes I want to tear off at every age of his life.

    @elephantshoes: She just might consider him sexually attractive for whatever reason, and sexual attraction doesn't totally equal physical attraction (though it's part of it for me). I agree he's not exactly at Hugh Jackman level, and does about zero for me, but our reasons for tearing the clothes off teh menz aren't always due to chiseled abs...I mean for a short-term, solely physical thing? Sure! But for the long-term menz, they'll get old and saggy, I'll get old and saggy, and I still hope I want to tear off his clothes because of who he is.

    @elephantshoes: Georgina Chapman is gorgeous and was a complete unknown model/actress/designer until she hooked up with a movie mogul and magazines who wanted his stars on their cover started showing her gowns in editorials, and actresses who wanted to curry favor with his studio started wearing her dresses on the red carpet. The Weinstein money/connections were so blatantly behind her rise to fame as a designer no one even pretends otherwise.
    If you genuinely believe that Georgina Chapman is sexually attracted to Lardo, rather than to what he did for her career, I have a bridge I would like to sell you. On the other hand, she's the modern day Marion Davies, and she seems breezily proud of it, so for that I salute her.

    @elephantshoes: Hehe. I once couldn't see myself with anyone who didn't live up to some pretty certian criteria. And then I got bored, honest, with hooking up with beautiful assholes. My fiance is handsome (but no Adonis) and I would happily jump him any time. Humor and general awesomeness go a long way toward that attraction.

    @Vivelafat says Sweep the leg, Johnny.: I LOVE Stephen King. There are only a couple books (the more recent) that I haven't read. And if you haven't read Cell I recommend it. It's way better than some of his newish stuff. I bought Duma Key a while ago and I recently started on that.

    They actually wrote it on her? I clicked the link and skimmed but got a little eye rolly at all that typical boy mag copy. Couldn't they just do it in photoshop?


    MOre importantly, way to make the point that all a woman is is nothing but a blank canvas onto which a man can imprint his thoughts and ideas to present them to the world. FUCKING HELL.

    Having worked as a manager at Henri Bendel and (for the most part) loved it, it's really upsetting to me to see how rough the store has it right now -- and all due to its own mismanagement at the corporate level. I still know people who work there and I hope they're not part of the 8% who will be laid off.
