    This administration does nothing but deny the existence of indisputable facts.


    What is troubling is that Ms. Rice is smart enough to aware of her dissembling, but paramountly concerned about her legacy.


    Go off with your "husband" Condi. You are an embarassment and a disgrace to all American women.


    These past eight years have been a total disaster in all respects for all Americans and I am positive History will reflect this truth.

    She's so right though, you guys. Like Axl said, all we need is a little patience. Iraq will work out and one day it will be our bestest friend in the Middle East and they will give us free oil to thank us for toppling Saddam. And or relationship with China is aces! We pretend we don't see their human rights abuses, we borrow more and more money from them, AND we buy their cheap, sometimes-contaminated goods to fill our ever-gaping consumerist maw. Win-win-win!

    @Piecesofpi: AHA while waiting to pass customs into Japan, my friend and I noticed a large gaggle of Canadians, all sporting shirts and hats with giant maple leaves on them. I was like, "You think they want people to know they're not American?" and they all glared at me.

    Also, the "popularity contest" remark is a typical wah-wah-wah response to any criticism. Being a woman of academia, she should be ashamed that she's slamming so many well-known historians. I have really wanted to like this woman but I just can't. Why can't she just keep her mouth shut about Bush?
