    I saw a great interview with her on Fuse the other night. She spoke very eloquently (for a pop star non-professional activist) about gay rights and why she feels compelled to speak out about them. I'm already a fan, but I was very impressed.

    I just have to say that when I followed her on Twitter, she followed me back. I'm sure she does that to everyone who follows her, and there's probably not a chance in hell that she's ever read any of my 140-character inanities about knitting, but damn, did that feel special.

    @BetteD: True story, went to see a Rollins spoken word show a few years back and had the opportunity to do the shake hands, get an autograph deal afterwards. I made some inane comment about something he'd discussed and he fully engaged me in conversation for several minutes in a completely gracious fashion. I'm so glad I had the presence of mind to NOT ask him to marry me and have my babies. I was so blown away by his courtesy and graciousness.

    the first time I heard a Lady Gaga song was on the South Park episode when Cartmen sings it, and I didn't realize it was Lady Gaga until I heard it at the gym and asked my trainer who sings it. yeah, I'm pretty out of touch. but I have to say, I don't hate her music (like I do most pop these days), and from this post, I sort of love her now. I can't wait to see the pictures from this tour!!

Like David playing a little guitar to his little radio playing beats while singing "Psycho Killer," the fantastic backup singers, the artsy funkiness of "Genius of Love," just all that sick creativity that made the songs so much better than their studio-recorded versions.

    @lisas: I'm sorry, but Madonna, fab as she is/was, has just lost it for me. I remember her on the VMA's back in the day in her wedding dress. And when I first saw GaGa on the VMA's I was all "Madonna has already done it, what?" But, now, I have changed my mind. She needs to admit defeat to GaGa and retired gracefully.
