I'm always happy to see Africans being shown in a more positive modern light. Yes, it is incredibly important to draw attention the problems in Africa (and the rest of the world), but when all people see is violence and famine it just contributes to the "otherness" of Africans as a people. There are positive things happening too and it's wonderful to see that highlighted. #getyourwagon
Pretty lady, but yet another group of women that I find completely useless and uninteresting. Posh only catches my eye because she's crazy and says "may-juh". #getyourwagon
@wtfox?!: Um, yeah, I totally said that some of the women are obviously going to be amazing, but probably not appreciated for that so much as being pretty and dating/marrying someone rich. Overall, the concept just bores me SO MUCH. The wives of rich men?Snore. #getyourwagon
@goodcheapfun: Um, possibly because the article isn't a biography, but an overview of a phenomenon that manifests itself slightly differently in African society, and with different implications, than it does in Europe. And because I was, on the whole, making sarcastic use of the original commenter's blanket remark about WAGs being "useless," instead of responding to the article itself which has, as I said, different concerns.
the WAG thing was a fascinating thing to discover when i studied abroad in london. that along with the absurd tabloid sensations like katie price and chantelle made me realize that the u.s. doesn't have a monopoly on bullshit news. kind of comforting and sad at the same time. #getyourwagon
also, i will like to thank jamelia for "superstar" which along with "push the button" by the sugababes, will always be the official soundtrack to my london experience
OK, so being really, really ridiculously good looking for a living does not pay well. But at least you get to attend swanky funeral after-after-parties, and hang in the VIP section of the VIP Room
The Diva story makes me angry. The jewelry at Diva are identical to the originals at Shana Logic. At least Urban Outfitters tries to change the original design a little when they steal work from artists.
And Shana Logic is pretty affordable to begin with.
Project Runway's Leanne Marshall wrote on her personal blog that she was unhappy with a business opportunity gone sour - but one which it was too late to pull the plug on. Discontent with retail partner Bluefly is the only logical conclusion.
Aww shucks. I hope everything works out for her, and I will most likely buy from it when it does come out - I love her designs!
Ya' know, I just can't get excited about anything coming from the people who popularised the velour tracksuit. Sorry, Juicy Couture, I don't care HOW intellectual your range is.

That the moon is on fire and she better get outside and help put it out right this instant."
Does anybody else hope that Paris calls looking to borrow clothes? And that it is secretly taped and leaked onto the internet?
