I pluck all the stray black wiry hairs. I'm blond so they really stand out from the peach fuzz. One under the chin, a few around the right nipple, a few right around the belly button. I pluck them because they just plain bug me.
The thing I'm most upset about is that I always heard that years of repeated plucking would weaken/deaden the root and the hair would either stop growing, or grow back thinner/lighter. I have been plucking the same damn hairs for a decade and no change.
How far are these mags from telling ladies to line up for Chemo? Most effective way to remove body hair EVER. (Don't think it's too far out, we already inject ourselves with Botulism.)
It may sound tortuous, but it's honestly the least painful tweezing I do.
Why does this post make it seem like I should feel bad about not wanting long, thick, black hairs growing around my nipples. I'm guessing if you don't tweeze them, you don't have them. Lucky you.
@lavenderstain: Seriously. I've tried tweezing before, but like you said, it gives you ingrowns. So I trim with nail scissors. They're still there, but at least they're not long. Or under the skin.
We are mammals. We have hair everywhere; how do these magazines find NEW ways to make us ashamed of this? You don't see guys bemoaning their (useless) nipples..
@heavysyrup: I was always entertained on depilatory packaging - the label says "NOT FOR USE ON BREAST NIPPLES." Apparently, other nipples are fair game, but you're SOL if you want your breast nipples to be hairless.
@WryBeauty *is knocked up*: Bloody buggery bollocky bother! I put in the code to fast forward the vid to 2 mins 30 seconds but it didn't take. "...eyes lips nostrils this is all off the top of my head..."
@KatyLou: You only have one? Lucky. I spent fifteen minutes every other day plucking my chin. I also got a pair of tweezers to keep in the car. The light you get while driving just really highlights those chin hairs, ya know?
True story: My Bible-thumping grandma once told my aunt that she'd never get a husband if she didn't pluck those nipple hairs.
My aunt replied, "Where *did* you meet Dad, anyway?"

The month after that we're going to discuss women wearing pants instead of dresses. Glamour really is on the cutting edge these days.
