Until it is published in the National Enquirer, I am not believing any of this. They have been 100% accurate, it seems to me they have a mole really close to one of the parties.
I love that the comment about Elizabeth in the NYT story was that she has failed to "come around" as to the idea of his claiming paternity. It just infuriates me that there's some suggestion that she's dragging her feet on something she supposedly should be doing, and the whole story basically made me want to shoot real live daggers into John Edwards, and his band of idiots.
I'm really only still paying attention to this for the creep factor, as in, how much creepier can this story get? And the answer is always "oh, LOTS more!"
If the child is Edwards', and it seems awfully likely, then I will never, ever understand why he didn't just cop to that too, after admitting the affair. Dragging it out like this would make him an even bigger jackhole, if that were possible.
I don't see how it follows that this information somehow transforms Rielle Hunter from a predator to a concerned mother. I didn't ever think of her as a "celebrity stalker," I thought of her as a home-wrecking tramp, and I still do.
@pmarble: The married man who cheats is the home-wrecking tramp. The woman is just a sad sack with low self-esteem who accepts the little a married man can give her.
