Natasha Richardson: Actress, Mother, Wife, Force Of Nature... Dead At 45 |

if there's anything "good" i read in any of the coverage, it was this:
...She once said that Neeson's serious injury in a 2000 motorcycle accident - he suffered a crushed pelvis after colliding with a deer in upstate New York - had made her really appreciate life.
"I wake up every morning feeling lucky - which is driven by fear, no doubt, since I know it could all go away," she told The Daily Telegraph newspaper in 2003."
to at least think that they lived their lives with that undercurrent of intense appreciation because of this earlier event... i don't think there's more any of us can do.
when you look at the photos of her together with liam, she so obviously adores him~~ the way they hold each other and look at each other~~ these two people didn't waste away their lives oblivious to what blessings they had in their life.

The Daily Mail ran a photo of Liam after he left the hospital shortly after her death. That poor man, having a camera shoved in his face at a time like this. It makes me feel ill.

But she brought something to Blanche that other actresses don't normally bring, which was a sense of steely determination and manipulation. The actresses who play her as merely a simpering Southern belle missed that note, and while the whole production was generally viewed as unsuccessful, I still remember that performance.

What good is sitting alone in your room?
Come hear the music play.
Life is a Cabaret, old chum,
Come to the Cabaret.
Put down the knitting,
The book and the broom.
Time for a holiday.
Life is Cabaret, old chum,
Come to the Cabaret.
Come taste the wine,
Come hear the band.
Come blow your horn,
Start celebrating;
Right this way,
Your table's waiting
No use permitting
soem prophet of doom
To wipe every smile away.
Come hear the music play.
Life is a Cabaret, old chum,
Come to the Cabaret!
I used to have a girlfriend
known as Elsie
With whom I shared
Four sordid rooms in Chelsea
She wasn't what you'd call
A blushing flower...
As a matter of fact
She rented by the hour.
The day she died the neighbors
came to snicker:
"Well, thats what comes
from to much pills and liquor."
But when I saw her laid out like a Queen
She was the happiest...corpse...
I'd ever seen.
I think of Elsie to this very day.
I'd remember how'd she turn to me and say:
"What good is sitting alone in your room?
Come hear the music play.
Life is a Cabaret, old chum,
Come to the Cabaret."
And as for me,
I made up my mind back in Chelsea,
When I go, I'm going like Elsie.
Start by admitting
From cradle to tomb
Isn't that long a stay.
Life is a Cabaret, old chum,
Only a Cabaret, old chum,
And I love a Cabaret!

It's probably ridiculous, but I keep thinking of Liam Neeson in of Love Actually when he's playing the grieving widower. I keep thinking of him at the beginning of the movie when he's at his wife's funeral and it's like, that's how his life will be now. He'll have to raise his two boys on his own. I just want to cry.

You were gone
From all the lives
You left your mark upon
