    I'm really not surprised about the latest "Craigslist attack." Criminals LOVE to find newer, easier ways to commit crime. Hmm. Post an ad for something that will require someone to meet me WITH CASH IN HAND. Brilliant! That's even better than robbing food delivery drivers; who knows how much cash they'll have? This way I get to dictate the price of my ill-gotten gains!

    Hey Journal of Consumer Research, maybe people are more likely to choose high fat items because i dunno a cheeseburger/pasta alfredo/(insert high fat delicious dish) will never taste as good as a salad/baked potato. Just a thought.

    My mom always likes to tell it that one of the most formative moments in her childhood was when she and her brother were rough-housing in the car in the Canadian countryside on vacation and her mother slammed on the brakes, ordered them out of the car, and drove off a full five minutes down the road before coming back for them. They never misbehaved in the car again, and just her telling that story to her children was enough to prevent any back seat shenanigans.

    Sadly, the mother that told her two daughters to get out of the car reminds me a lot of my mother actions when I was younger. She didn't know how to handle stress very well and treated us as if we should make adult decisions, even at 10, 12 and 13 years old.

    I'm thinking infant mortality is linked to height of mothers because of malnutrition. There is a LOT of malnutrition in India, and mothers who were malnourished as children/still are are probably shorter than healthy mothers. Makes sense that their children would also be less healthy.

    I don't think the two mothers were arrested for attempting to induce their labors on 4/20, they were arrested as part of a police sweep of a skinhead gang, and happened to be at the hospital at the time.


    Dumb idea yes, but I don't see how it could be illegal, unless the babies were significantly pre-term, which could be considered child endangerment, I guess. But the article doesn't say how far along they were.

    This is fucking disgusting. I hate this ignorant 4/20 shit. I went to Walmart on April 20th, and there was a kid with a shaved head (a skinhead) wearing the black combat boots with red laces, and suspenders just pacing back in forth in front. I went up to the front desk to tell them about it, and he was still there when I left. They didn't do anything. There is still no peace for anyone who isn't white, and that day really opened my eyes about how bad shit still is. skinheads at Walmart... WTF WORLD??

    @LucyDriftwood: Oh, I meant the 4/20 obsessed mothers. (Sorry for the confusion, I'm high.) But you're v. likely right as to all these miscreants. When I moved to NC from the west coast, it was a rude awakening in terms of race relations. Although thankfully I had the fortune to meet plenty of tolerant Southerners and would move back to the South in a heartbeat.
